I must be in the minority. I don't like it. It's greasy and my hair looked like it was full of product. All I saw was soul glo when I looked at myself in the mirror.
Back to Walgreens it went.
Just FYI, my local Walgreens has it right now for buy one get one half off so you may want to check out Walgreens.

I picked it up at Walgreens this afternoon for $4.something. It was buy one get half off so I went ahead and bought the last two. If I don't like it Mother's day is coming up.
First, I don't care for the smell but it's not something that will give me a headache so I can live with it.
The consistency seems like it could work for me. I'm not a fan of thick pudding type products.
Whether I like it or not I just want to give Soft Sheen Carson some applause for putting out a CG friendly affordable product that people can get bricks and mortar. These days I'm mostly leave in and oil only but at times I use another Soft Sheen styling product which is the Roots of Nature Mango Oil and Cucuacu butter Coil Creme. I love this stuff. It's cg and it's like $5 to $7 depending on if Sally's has a sale. The Curl Creme version is good too but a little heavier than I like. When I first went natural I got great results from the Roots of Nature Green Tea Moisturizer.
So just want to give props where props is do.

I'd love to know if it worked for you without a leave-in. I don't do wash and gos either and wonder how the hold is for a twist out.

Ok. I decided to try it and not wait for wash day. I have to note I took an old twist out where I already had leave in and oil in my hair. I spritzed section by section and ran product through. I have dense hair so i made sure to get in between but I used far less than the MC tutorials because I already had castor oil in and didnt want it too greasy. Did a combo of flat braids and regular braids and went to bed. Today my hair is soft and very little frizz. Somewhat greasy but I cant blame product of course. I like that I have way more elongation than i normally get from braid outs. Cowashing tonight and trying again. Im going to use li but no oil this time. Im still working up the courage to skip li. LOL

Oh no I didn't take pics. I was using it alone but it was taking too long to dry. So I went back to my tressemme naturals as a LI and put a dime sized amount of this on top. Turned out pretty good, wasn't greasy and dried faster. I think it's a keeper.

That is strange. I see the pics on my phone. i will check on my computer.
After I cowashed I put in my leave in but not as much. Let me say I will not be using this without li because this product is not moisturizing enough for my hair. My hair cant get down with no li. Anyway, I put a good amount of custard in sections. I detangled through with my fingers but the slip was soso. Also i noticed my ends were not clumping well which I know it is because i didnt have as much moisture. I started putting Smooth and Shine activator gel on the ends and they clumped beautifully and the slip was perfecto. Im not surprised since some people on YT said they didnt like this product until they used it with gel. I must say custard gave me much more elongation than I ever get on freshly washed hair. my twists are touching my clothes. So far I like it. I will take a pic tomorrow when dry.

Very nice!! Danggg, I've been holding out on purchasing this, no real reason other than I just don't want to smell like I'm in 8th grade again.

It definitely has that jam smell. But to me it's not as strong and it doesn't linger. As a matter of fact I put a little in 10 minutes ago and can't smell it now.

Yeah.. the smell for me.. I don't know it's doing to much for me. I picked up some of that Curls Unleashed Creme today..the smell is a little better. Frankly, I wish all hair care products came with an unscented option. LOL!

Okay ladies. Sorry my pics are so big. I know how to resize on my cannon but not this iphone.
i think this is a keeper for me. I suggest people should try this a few ways before tossing it. Im going to use mine with li and more for sealing than moisturizing. Im including another photo of a fresh wash twist out where I used conditioner and oil and put my twists on big rollers and say under dryer to get more elongation. My shrinkage is so much I dont like first day hair unless I do this. With let's jam I didnt put my twists on rollers but sat under hooded dyer maybe 20 minutes low 5 min high to speed up drying before going to bed. I want to show you the difference in stretch. The flower is without let's jam.
As mentioned smell isnt great but I dont smell it in my hair. Plus I have essential oils that would take care of that. My hair does feel more producty but Ive been on an oil and conditioner only kick for awhile.
4as please post some w&gs for ladies who do them. Blessings

I love this gel, it will definately replace Hairveda's whipped Gelly and other stuff. I'm so glad I'm finally able to buy cheap stuff on the ground that works.
