Have you ever desired straight hair???
I look back on my life and when i first got a relaxer at age 13 anyway..even when i had a relaxer i use to always use a curling iron to achieve curls or rollers
i never really wore my hair just straight
I've always found straight hair to be very boring
Well it's been 12yrs since i've straighten my hair with relaxer. And my hair is a bit past my shoulders(where it is staying! i dont want it longer than that LOL!!
anyway..as i look back on it and even now i never really did like straight hair. It always seemed very boring to me and plain and nothing really special or fun about it.
Do others feel the same way? Or do you like the versatility of going straight(hot comb) and being natural as well?
I honestly dont like the "straight" style

I wouldnt say it is straight hair i dont like but flat hair. I fried my hair using a curling iron every day in college. I always prefered rollersets and body wraps. I think strAight flat hair looks horrible on me and yes i think it is boring.

I don't think so. I used to relax my hair because I didn't know how to take care of it.
I thought it would be difficult to take care of 4ab hair. I was wrong! It can be time consuming though. I need more patience.

I'm not 4B, but I've never desired straight hair. My mother gave me my first perm when I was a child so I had no say. I've always thought curls were prettier than straight hair. When I turned 16 and I decided to transition and go natural. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I've never desired straight hair. I relaxed my hair because my mother relaxed it when I was 5 years old and that's all that I knew. Since going natural over 3 years ago I've never straightened my hair nor do I have the desire to do so.

Not really. Every now and then i wana straighten my hair (with a flat iron) but a perm? Naw. I have no problem with perms myself but I don't want the keep up at all. I want to see how long it will grow natural!

I don't like flat hair...don't mind straight hair if it has body, but prefer textured hair in general.

When I was a teen I wished my hair would be bone straight like other girls were. But secretly, I always loved huge hair!!
Now, I hate flat hair. My head's too fat to be foolin' round with flat tiny hair!

I usually only like straight hair based on how long/short my hair is... When my hair was shorter, around chin-length, I wanted to wear straight hair a lot. It's mainly because even with a medium sized afro I just didn't like having to worry about fitting headgear getting it caught in seatbelts/necklaces or dogtags or velcro... Now that I can pull it back I only want to see it straight maybe every 2 months or so.

^^^ Same with me, I thought relaxed hair was wayyy easier to take care of instead of natural (which it isn't really) and thats why my hair was always breaking. I liked straight hair because I could throw it in a ponytail for the day, but i've always had a love for curly hair. Now that i'm natural, I just like seeing straight hair on other peoples and having my own head of curls

I've never desired straight hair. I always thought it was boring and I still think it's boring. I actually panicked a little when my texturized hair started getting straighter and straighter the more I did it.

Nope not too much these days. I usually get fascinated by "thick long hair"..whether its straight or curly.

If its involving a relaxer? Nope I'm good! My mom wasn't even the one who relaxed my hair at 14, she never wanted me to get one and I should've listened to her and it only took me 10 years and two BCs realize that.
If having kinky hair means no chemical burns everytime I get my hair done and my hair stays healthy, I'll stick to kinky!

While my little sisters (twins) are very fair with green eyes and have lighter (brown with natural highlights) curly 3a-ish hair (I'm 3b-ish) my little brother has darker skin, dark eyes, and dark hair all like me except his har is straigtht with just a bit of a wave to it when it grows out.
I kinda feel like the odd man out sometimes so yes, I kinda wish that I was born with straight(er?) hair sometimes.

Well sometimes I do because it's so easy and no hassle and sometimes I get frustrated with my hair. It might take me a while to get over it though

Not relaxed straight hair. I'm much better without relaxers. They're the devil. But I used to prefer my bone straight pressed hair I think I look better with straight hair, but I'm done with the heat damage. So I will be rocking my curls forever, maybe I'll straighten it once a year, but I'd rather have healthy long hair than damaged straight hair.
