Hmmm...I also use butters as leave-in's but I will mention the water based ones here:
Hairveda Acai Berry Phyto Conditioner
QB Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee
Darcy's Botanicals Leave-In
KeraCare Natural Textures Leave-In
Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Milk
ETA: They do not need to have slip as much as they need to moisturize for the week. My DC is what I normally use to detangle. However, when I don't have time for a DC or to meticulously detangle, I reach for the QB or Hairveda.

Can I just say that Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie (in the pink jar) is fast moving into top five status. Over the past two weeks I have been using this excluisvely as a leave-in under my stylers (CJ pattern pusher, camille rose curl maker) and this is the bomb.com.

Since my cut I'm a daily wash and goer that uses a leave in and gel and seal with a castor oil/grapeseed oil mix. As far as texture, I'm middle of the road..not fine but not coarse and I'm medium to low Porisity.

Thank you NCC. Your regimen is pretty much what mine is as far as daily styling. Our hair properties are very similar too now that I cut my hair short.
Anyway..I just asked because the products you listed sounded good and I've been wanting to try out the Hair Dew stuff. The Shea Moisture in the jar didn't work for me in the long run when I was high porosity. And I thought they stop making the one in the bottle. Maybe I can look it up on Amazon or something and even revist the stuff in the jar..I think I can tolerate the smell.
Since I cut my hair short I've been much more open to trying more products so thank you for the info!

LOL.. nah. I don't have all that super porous hair anymore..it's normal porosity now. So I figure this might be a good opportunity to learn about other products instead of strictly limiting myself to my staples like I did before. I really doubt if I'll ever turn into a product junkie. Not sure why but I'm just not into hair products like that which is odd especially considering I love hair so much. I'm more of an inexpensive makeup junkie (minus my bareMinerals).

My leave in for a long time was Trader Joes Nourish and Spa but when I couldnt get it I moved to Yes To carrots, and recently to tn moisture reformulated.
I prefer my leave ins to be protein free and I like to add a little aloe vera juice.

Marsh is your hair protein sensitive? Because I'm looking for a good conditioner for medium texture, normal porosity and normal elasticity
