Nat'l Natural Hair Meetup Day
Well it seems May 19th is National Natural Hair Meetup Day
Is anyone attending any events? I'm in Nj but I think I'm attending the Spring is in the Air in Brooklyn NY from 4-7

Nothing going on in my area...nothing I'm aware of. "Swag bags" are usually a disappointment...why is that? I guess because when I think "swag bag", I think "Academy Awards". That's my problem. But seriously, I don't want nuthin' I can pick up at the dollar store/neighborhood beauty supply in a "swag bag".

CocoD , June 10th is 2 days before my birthday so I might attend.
Just in case you didnt know folks JUNE 12th is my birthday. I will be the big 30... * cough*
June 16th I will be partying it up at my birthday celebration * dancing in a circle *
ETA I went to my email and printed out the free ticket I have. I didnt pay but i RSVP'd so maybe thats what they meant?

Aww man, looks like I kinda missed out. The Koils by Nature DMV event has the swag bag tix sold out, they have group rates available and $20 at the door, I'm not sure I wanna go bad enough to pay $20 just to get in.

Will do. PM me your contact info. My Satuday morning bootcamp is from 8:30-9:30 so I could def get showered and dressed and make it there for this event. I'm on the fence. $20 just to get in (I'd have liked to see what was in the swag bags)....they had better be vending or have some give aways or something else going on for that price besides meeting and mingling with with natural folks. I do that here for free.

I'm going to the DMV meet up on Saturday. I bought my ticket in advance so I only had to pay $15. If anyone else is gong, let me know. :-)

I'm attending one of the NYC meet ups tomorrow. I'm rather excited. This is my first natural hair meet up. I'm a transitioning still but I'm sure there's a lot of information and feedback I can gain
