Mega mega hit:
I just got back from 10 days camping in the desert, dry heat of New Mexico and the Cush Cosmetics Refresh spray and Buriti lotion saved my hair. There was no hot water so I didn't wash my hair until I got home last night and the new Cush Cosmetics shampoo is the BEST shampoo I've ever used. My hair was super soft and shiny. I almost didn't need a conditioner

Hit: I might have said it before.. but Bobeam Cocoa Rhassoul Clay Bar is everything.
You can feel the clay in it but it still lathers well & rinses clean. Hair feels like I cowashed, seriously. I know her other shampoo bars are gentle but they still give me that (sometimes squeaky) clean after rinsing if I do multiple lathers and just leave it soft. This one, man..

EPIC HIT: Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion and Donna Marie Mira Curling Jelly
I don't even know how to begin to describe this combo. Its like PERFECT. PERFECT. PERFECT. Moisture, soft hold, just the right amount of shrinkage, definition, sheen, absorbed quick, no white stuff or flakes, just PERFECT HAIR. I've been in the natural hair game for 8 years and I've used TONS of products and I've raved about a few but I'm BLOWN away. Funny thing is...this is my first time using both products so now I need to figure out which one is responsible for the greatness that is my hair today.
*sings*
Heaven must be like this...it must be like this!

Hit: Using my Suave Almond & Shea Butter conditioner as a leave-in/styler for a twistout.
Twists were soft yet defined and frizz-free for two days. I spritzed with water and re-twisted at night on day two with the Suave A&SB again and day three results were as perfect as day one.
....sshhhh....yes, my hair's a cheap troll that likes cheapie drugstore conditioner w/ dimethicone

Cacao Bark Deep Conditioning Hair Treat and Y.A.M Nectar-I mixed the two together and they were wonderful on my hair. My hair felt so moisturized and the slip was amazing. I think I will only use them 1-2 a month. I don't want my hair to be too moisturized.
Sweet Manna Botanical Hair & Scalp Serum-this was really good as a massage oil for my scalp. The only thing I didn't like was the pump. Too much oil came out when you press down on the pump. It needs to have a different type of pump so it comes out more slowly.
Silk & honey Latte Detangling Hair Milk-I used this on my wet hair as a leave-in conditioner. It made detangling so easy and my hair was soft. After I added my stylers for a wash & go and it dried, my hair was still soft. I got the nectarine and vanilla scent. I wasn't too crazy about the smell but it's growing on me. I will have to try the other scents to see if I like them better. This will probably be something I use in rotation with my other leave-ins (Oyin and CJ). I have too much hair to use this all the time. I have a half a bottle left and I only used it once. They need to sell this in bigger bottles.
I still want to try the Tapioca Cream and their body scrubs. I hoping they have a July 4th sell.

Hit:
Acure Organics Moroccan Argan Oil + Argan Stem Cell Shampoo. Great lather, non-stripping, great ingredients. I would buy it again.
Not a Hit or Miss:
Acure Organics Moroccan Argan Oil + Argan Stem Cell Conditioner.
I was expecting this to be a MEGA hit. I just KNEW it was gonna be the bomb, because of the ingredients. It wasn't. The slip was missing. Now, "no slip" isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me. It didn't feel that good going on, but after it marinated under a plastic cap for an hour or so, and I rinsed it out, I was pleased...not "wowed", but pleased.
Would I purchase again? Probably not. But I'm going to continue to use it, because it's not garbage and my hair felt conditioned after I rinsed it out. I may try it as a leave-in.

Huge Hit
I know I've already raved about the Shea Moisture CES but I'm now just about to be finished with the jar and I am still amazed by this product. The way it moisturizes my hair is just phenomenal. It literally feels like I've used Qhemet on my hair. And it's less than $10!!
I would say Qhemet is like a primer for my hair because whenever I use that on my wash day, my hair is pretty much set for the rest of the week. I don't have to use it everyday, I can use a butter or another leave in to refresh my hair throughout the week. Well the CES has the same effect for me. This past weekend I used it for a twist out and the definition lasted a good while yesterday. Of course it expanded and shrunk by the end of the day, which is okay by me. Yesterday night I braided my hair up with KBB's butter love and my braid out today is so soft.
One thing that annoys me a little about this product is the flakiness. When I'm applying it to my hair it kind of flakes a little bit, but by the next day you couldn't even tell that my hair was flakey. Idk if it just takes my hair some time to absorb it, if it's the shea butter in it, or if I'm using too much product at once. All I know is that it flakes and then the flakes magically disappear.lol The product has a waxy texture. It's almost similar to the QB BRBC but it is just a little waxier. My hair doesn't seem to mind it.
This is now staple status. Its more affordable than Qhemet and it does what I need it to do. I'm not gonna retire Qhemet but I'll just reserve it for occassional usage. I'll probably make sure to keep a few jars of each product on reserve but I don't think I'll need to haul it like I have in the past.

Still bored at work thinking about hair.lol
Hit
Co washing. I've been doing it more often lately and my scalp has been doing okay. My hair likes it as well. I finally finished my Plant Poo a few weeks ago and I've just been experimenting with more accessible products and using up what I already have. I like the Tresseme Naturals silicone free conditioner.
Misses
Theraneem Gentle Therape Shampoo- This stuff strips my hair most of the time. My scalp feels aiite. I dislike it immensely but I will finish it up.
Herb n Life Royal Rinse- I got this based off Elle's review and I had such high hopes for this because I liked black soap on my hair. The ingredients are really good and it smells really good. It just doesn't do anything for me. Well, it is a little stripping sometimes. I just don't like it. I will use it up. Maybe as a body wash JUST because it smells good.
Wash n go- Used Tresemme with Long Aid curl activator gel. My hair was a white globby mess. The kinks looked good though so I was really disappointed. I tried using other combos with the gels I had and it was still a fail. I want to get it right though so I'll keep trying.

I just bought this conditioner. I used it the first time and my hair got that funny feeling it gets when it has a little too much protein. Totally my fault because I know I cant cowash and rinse out with protein and I didnt realize this has protein. I plan to try again and do it the right way but as a rinse out. I cant do protein leave ins. I will let you know how it goes.

I am def protein sensitive, so when I saw the L-Arginine, I decided to do a test on a tiny section. I liked it and have used half the bottle. It may help that I prepoo with AVJ and EVOO overnight. Also, I noticed I shouldn't use it more than 2 consecutive weeks. Foe me, it has good slip and the smell is milder than the Lemongrass one. That smell is over-the-top, but in my opinion, the Lemongrass has more slip. Try prepooing overnight and see what you think.
Will you look back on life and say I wish I had or I'm glad I did. -Sent from my iPod touch using CurlTalk-

I couldn't find this thread today....
Anywho: Preliminary Hit: Received my swapped item from a lovely curly, Oyin Handmade Hairdew. Put a bit on the back of my dry hair to try it out and it melted the tangles out....right away! Fragrance reminds me of Burnt Sugar Pomade, so if you like the scent of Tofee/heavy butterscotch/french vanilla/caramel popcorn scent, you'll like this product. I just sneezed, this is a bit sKrong. I wish Jimayla, used another fragrance for this hair dew. So far tho I like it, will update after I do a full on wash and then use to style.
HIT: Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose: This product is like a comfortable old ratty bathrobe. Dependable, reliable, consistently gets the job done. I'm on my second bottle, and even towards the end of the bottle, diluted with water, still makes a great DC. I love to use this overnight, wake up and wash with diluted Head & Shoulders Shampoo. Then enjoy beautiful smelling hair for a week. Alas, even with consistently good results, the inner-pj in me, wants to try other products or the warrior frugalista in me wants to just buy some yogurt and doctor it with oils in the future.
