Actually I don't know WHY it says bedStuy...when in fact that area is considered to be Crown Heights. No the area is not bad @ all. In life ppl will miss out on sooo much when they don't experience different situations on their own, perceptions solely based on believing things they hear. It's a beautiful neighborhood. About 4 short blocks from the station. See for yourself u won't regret it...;0)

I'm glad I checked this thread, I'll be visiting NYC later this summer (used to live there, will be staying with a friend in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn), and I would love to visit a place that has all of those companies' products, especially if it's close to a train station.

OK thanks. Nothing wrong with those types of places I just know enough to know not to walk down streets I'm not familiar with when I go to them. There's a list of things I am not trying to experience, just to get some hair products

I've been there about 3 times now, they are always super helpful and accommodating. As far as I know it's the only place on the ground to get Oyin, Curl Junkie, Donna Marie, Darcy's Botanicals etc. It's very close to the train maybe 3 (short) blocks and not a bad neighborhood as far as I could tell. They also send out a coupon every month, very small (5%) but still nice if you're dropping a lot of $$$.

I live in Harlem and it's totally worth the hour long trip, IMO. I really hate paying for shipping, and then missing the package repeatedly because I'm at work and having to go to the post office to pick up.

I've been there and go there whenever I'm in a pinch since it's very close to work. He's been in business for longer than a year and the last time I was there he didnt have a lot of the things I was looking for so it's great to see that he has expanded.

5% of isnt enough for me though, so that's why he gets the business in a pinch. Very nice guy though.
