Default She's Back...and Her Hair Looks...

More volumnious, but overall it looked the same as when she left. We could only talk for a moment or so. She said her hair felt softer in Europe than it does in the states. Now, she did not shampoo her hair while overseas, but according to her, her hair would not be as soft in the states. I found that interesting, especially since the weather was drier where she was working.

Another observation is that her hair had more definition than when she left as well. She noticed that too, and we both wondered if it was the water.

She wasn't sure if she wanted another texturizer since she likes the definition more than the length.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Default Update #2

Her hair is more voluminous--I believe it's due to the new growth. She also says she has more tangles, but is starting to use conditioner to comb them out.

She's using KCCC and KT to define her curls a bit, and she likes Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in Conditioner. She still likes her hair, and is getting used to the shrinkage--still doesn't like it, but not as badly as before...

This entire situation is interesting because I honestly believe she didn't learn how to properly transition and maintain her natural hair the first time. The first time she tried to keep her hair the same as when relaxed, but not use chemicals to do it. (blow-drying, straightening, etc.) Instead of finding out what her hair could tolerate and what natural styles complimented her, she tried to keep up with people who straightend their "natural" hair all the time.

Just my take on it...
