Possible misses:
Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion
Oyin Handmade Hair Dew - the scent alone has me
Qhemet's Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee - I cannot for the life of me figure out the best way to use this stuff. Suggestions?

Still loving my curls and kinks!
Products I love:
Ion Dandruff/Seborrheic Dermatitis Tar Shampoo
Suave Shea Butter Conditioner
Biolage Scalp Therapy Shampoo
Biolage Fortify Therapy Shampoo
Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner
Beautiful Textures Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner
Shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil, apricot oil, peppermint oil, tea tree oil, and eucalyptus oil
Prelim Hit: CJ Coffee Coco curl cream

I was going to give up on CJ after the smoothing cream fell flat, but this is changing my mind. The first time I used it it made my hair hard and crunchy so I decided to use a lot less(about a quarter sized on my whole head) and my hair is loving it. My curls are defined and have some crunch but still soft and moveable. I sealed with too much oil so it's a bit greasy and I'm going to try again later. But so far it's a hit.

I just wish it smelled like the name
3c/4aish, high porosity, fine strands, medium density cottony curls.

Miss: Twist outs (still trying to get it together even though I am 9 months natural) My definition is there just don't how to fluff.

Hit: original moxie lux locks. The definition is beautiful. My curls are nice, but it is a puff because I don't how to fluff.

Another hit is grapeseed oil. The shine on my hair is bananas. Love it

Miss: flat twist (one day I will get it together)

Mega Hit: Making my own Satin Bonnet. I love my hair but paying $50 for a bonnet is INSANE....

Hit: Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercream: kept my twistout soft and moisturized in this hot South Florida weather and sun.

Mega Hit: Eden Bodyworks Peppermint Tea Tree Conditioner. My hair is unbelievably hydrated. I got a sample and will be heading to Sally's to purchase.

So so hit. Eden Bodyworks Peppermint Tea Tree shampoo. This stuff is okay but I'm very with my poo bar. I may buy it when I run out of clarifyer.

Hit so far:Kynx Texture Defining Gel. I like that it's not a heavy gel so it goes on well on damp hair which is what my hair likes. I'm used to FSG and activator gel so the feel of my hair is slightly different. I'll report back after my hair is dry.

Hit: BASK Palm Tapioca Deluxe Hair Cream... love this stuff. I twisted and then sealed with the Java Bean & Honey Hair Balm... = soft hydrated thick twists! (((insert body roll)))

Hit: after washing/co washing I put this JBCO mix on (using JBCO as a base, adding grapeseed oil, almond oil, rosemary, peppermint, and tea tree EO) starting with a scalp massage, lightly on hair and a little extra on the ends.. my hair is moist and softer longer then when I do this as a last step...

So-so: CD Monoi line.. I used everything including the mask. It was all just ok to me. Nothing phenomenal, especially for the price. I baggy-ed the mask overnight too... doubt I'll purchase again
Miss:

L.A. Looks Sport Xtreme Hold Gel
(runny and sticky at least on me)

Hits:

Kinky Curly Curling Custard (should be in a squeeze tube or a pump bottle). It is great with the Suave conditioner (see below). It was not great with the Qhemet Burdock Root Butter Cream.

Suave Naturals Waterfall Mist Conditioner (great as a leave in under a gel like Ecostyler Krystal, Kinky Curly Curling Custard or Curl Junkie Pattern Pusha)

Not sure:

Suave Naturals Waterfall Mist Shampoo (not as great as Suave Clarifying Shampoo)
Hit: Twist out on large twists. Because my hair is longer and color damaged I put my hair in large twists after a good washing and/or dc. The twists are taken down a day or 2 afterwards and I've found that my twist outs afterwards are fuller and fluffier. I love big hair, not so much stretched, so this is a huge hit for me, not to mention it takes half the time of my traditional twist outs.

Miss turned hit: Oyin Handmade Juices and Berries Pomade

I bought this scent after it came out and folks were raving about the original and I HATED it. I love the smell but I tried using it as a sealer and it wasn't thick enough and was difficult working into my hair. Tried as a regular pomade for ponies and buns and it did nothing for me so I started using it as a lip balm. Finally after almost a year, and after someone used it on twists so I gave it a shot and it's a hit. I don't know why it only works on my twists but it does and it is an amazing sealer on twists for moisture. It won't be a repurchase because I can't afford to have products that aren't flexible.
