So my grandmother is having a party. And I don't know what to do with my hair, my hair is 4a a little bit less than shoulder length. And my sister is transitioning and needs help as well. Her hair is APL. Any ideas? All will be appreciated.

On YT there are tutorials for setting twists or braids on perm rods and I think the look is adorable.

I would google/search forums for 'natural hair wedding styles' because a lot of them I think are really beautiful and would work for any occasion if you leave out the wedding-like white/ivory hair accessories. Make a short-list and take it to your stylist for their recommendation or diy if you have the skills (I don't).
However, sometimes the simplest things can look special if accessorized well. e.g. a neat bun if your hair can stretch into a bun.
I find many textured styles to be ridiculously elegant, so for me special doesn't mean straightened, but many ladies will straighten their hair for a special occasion so that's another option.
