BC #3 - How many times have you BC'd? + L'oreal Ever Sleek

Hello, Curly Crusaders,
I'm back - after a very long absence from the forum, as well as my 3rd BC in 25 of being naturally curly!!!

Just wondering how many other people have BC'd more than once? My first BC was in 1995, then again in 2002 and then last year November.....I wonder what the psychology behind it could be?

Also just bought some Loreal Ever Sleek - I see a lot of talk about it in the type 3 forum. What about type 4's,has anyone tried it?

i get bored with my hair. when i first became a loose natural, i wanted an ultra, mega awesome BAA

. my hair texture didn't lend to that idea. i always got the jheri curl look because my hair flops forward.

i prefer style over length. i'm hairstyle challenged anyway. all i could do well was a bun or puff (lol!). cutting my hair is a renewal for me. i always feel really good after a big chop!

Ok, so i'm not the only one! Like you i don't really care that much about length - too much work for hair lazy me!! Now that you mention it, it is a renewal, I always feel much better too after BCing!

I haven't posted in forever! I've done the BC twice. The first was in 2006 and again in 2011. I have no intentions on cutting again or going back to the relaxer again either.

As far as the L'oreal ever sleek goes...I purchased the intense moisture line and I must say that I hate the smell so much that it prevents me from using. I have the shampoo left and used up all ofthe conditioning mask. The performance of the products is okay to me. Not drying, but not amazing either.

ive bc'ed about 4 times. haha

the last one was in august 2009...
my original chop was in november 2005.

so coming up on 7 years natural. i promised myself i wouldnt chop any more, though. haha. been good for the last 3 years.

also, i kinda like the loreal eversleek. ive tried the intense smoothing conditioner and the reparative conditioners (the ones in the tubes) and i thought they were pretty cool. they are a little heavy. i didnt like the eversleek in the little jar. didnt really do too much for me. i have rebought them a couple of times. have a tube of the intense smoothing right now.

Two? I BCed down to a TWA in 2008/2009 (it was the end of the year so I pretty much span both) and I semi big chopped (cut about 8+ inches) again about a month ago! I get bored with my hair quickly and I'm TRYING to keep my dye addiction from rearing it's ugly head again so I just keep running to the scissors.

I bc'd for the first time 8/2008 after an 8 month transition. Then I bc'd one more time about 6 months later and then did two more mini bc's. The last being 7/2010. I had always had long hair and was always told that I should never cut my hair. I fell in love with short hair on me and kept wanting to go shorter. I'm growing my hair out now to see how long I can get it natural, but I have little doubt that another bc is in my future.

I haven't posted in a long time too. I bcd first in 07 by choice, 10 not buy choice(trim went wrong) and just this past week because of my love affair with color! I love it but I don't think it loves me anymore!lol I am done with blonde hair but I'm not ready to be grey so I'm gonna just use semis to keep grey away!

Once. It was liberating and all being that my hair was never shorter than SL and I went to having under an inch of hair, but I'd rather not go through that again. Short hair makes my head look big :P

As for the L'Oreal the Everstrong deep treatment's one of the only DCs i'll buy from drugstores. My hair loves it, which is funny because the thin consistency and mineral oil had me reluctant. But it offers lots of slip and moisture even after being rinsed out. I tried the rinse out conditioner and it was garbage. I don't know about the everstrong shampoo, but the evercreme shampoo is my main chick.

Edit: I just noticed you asked about eversleek and not everstrong. Haha. The only thing I've tried from that line is the leave-in and it left my hair tacky and sticky. So yeah.

I am growing out layers so it is chop chop for a while. Hoping to get to the bob of my dreams by New Years.
