I need hair butters!!!!!
Hi everyone, it's been quite a long time since I was here, but I need some help. The lady who used to make my shealoe butter no longer does, and I'm not even sure where she is anymore. Where can I purchase quality butters at a reasonable price? Online or on the ground in the Atlanta area?
Thanks in advance ladies.

I havent ordered from them (yet - plan to), but a few years ago some people were talking about Texas Natural Supply here. They have tons of everything, carrier oils, butters, essential oils, etc.
Butters
I find yellow shea butter in my local health food store though. You could call around to local health food stores and ask if they have unrefined shea butter.
good luck

I am keeping an eye on this thread. Looking to try new butters. Shea butter is too heavy for my hair and I want to try something other than shealoe.

Depending on the type of butters you are looking for, don't forget that Sage Naturalceuticals is in Atlanta [Centennial area]. Just check their website to see what brands they have that you might like. I like QB Aethiopika butter and Pura Body Naturals Cupuacu butter from them.

Are you wanting to mix your own butters or simply order something already whipped up? That makes a world of difference.
As a poster stated above, Sage Naturalceuticals sells many of the popular brands of products. You may want to check them out since they are local and have butters that are already whipped up ( like Oyin's Whipped Pudding or Qhemet's Aethiopika Hydrating Butter).
If you want raw butters so you can mix your own ingredients in it, definitely check the sites that Cerendipity recommended. There are all kinds of YouTube videos with tutorials on how to whip up shea butter with your favorite oils. There are also recipes in this forum as well you can use. I think they are under Homemade Hair recipes or something similar. Just do a search and you should be able to find it.

I see mango butter at Trader Joe's sometimes. Will that work? Or is it only for eating?
