Im quitting my whole routine
Im realizing the that the longer my hair gets and the broker i get, its a PITA. Lately ive been sneaking some cones in my hair and my hair is responding really well. I no longer have to spend forever in the shower trying to separate my hair into 8 sections and then detangle it. Now ive been able to put it into 2 sections and detangle it just fine. Also ive noticed way less split ends.
I guess my hair changes as time goes on but on the plus side my hair products are a lot cheaper now and it takes way less product to get the desired result. |
Sometimes it be like that. LOL. I know that after trying all the expensive natural products sometimes I get the best results from using good ole Suave coconut conditioner and other cones. It helps my pocket as well as my hair.

Me too. I've given up on all natural conditioners. My hair need cones, at least in the conditioners. Dimethicone is not my enemy anymore. I still use the natural stylers but Botanical Spirits is the only line that works for me. Done experimenting.

I totally agree. I've been using cones in my rinse out conditioner and it has been a lifesaver. It is easier to detangle and the products are cheaper as well as readily available. The way I see it is as long as you have conditioning ingredients and water in your regimen, silicone really isn't so bad.

What conditioners are you guys using?

I introduced cones in September for weekday co-washing and weekly detangling. I just make sure I cleanse and deep condition 1x a week, and I kept my DTs, leave-ins, stylers, and sealers natural.
Doing it this way is just way more convenient for me and my hair is doing just as well. |

I haven't had a full out detangling session though so, we'll see. |
Herbal Essence Hello Hydration does wonders. It seems to work for many curlies. I'm more and more certain that your hair will inevitably change as it grows. Not to mention the adjustments needed for weather changes. Sigh. The perils of natural hair! angry9:
