December hit's & misses
I haven't seen a thread for December yet but here it is.
Hit: I found my satin scarf finally after losing it for a while. It's now washed and lives on my pillow again like I feel it should.
Miss: I need to restyle soon and combing my hair is going to be interesting to say the least. I'm not looking forward to this.

Hit:
Using the "cool & seal" method with my dc
Finding SM curl milk at Target for $4.98
Trader Joe's nourish spa & ttt conditioner as LI/RO/cowash
Sealing with baby oil. On day 3 and still feeling moisturized.
Hit & miss:
lll Sisters of Nature nourishing treatment dc. Soft and fluffy hair but no slip, adding oils helped some. It turned into paste on my hair when used with HE HIS, TJ nourish spa & TN for the "cool & seal" method.

Hit: Shea moisture African black soap purification mask. This just glides through my hair. It's great as a DT and LI. Softens my hair and gives me the most defined WnG I've ever had. Love it and I'm mad it took me so long to get it!
Miss: sealing. Idk, I just can't seem to do this right. I only recently started actually trying, but I've noticed no difference in my moisture retention...

Not so sure on the elasticity, but I don't think I have a very good moisture/protein balance and my hair is ubber dry, so I'm going to go with low... of course I could be very wrong.
Regimen:
Cowash/RO: HEHH, AIA Coconut Cowash
PT: Ion Effective Care Treatment
DT: Any condish with EVOO+Honey
LI: SM CES or PM The conditioner
Styler: EcoStyler Olive Oil, KCCC, or Let's Jam

Hit: hairveda red tea moisturizer. I use it as a leave in and moisturizer and it leaves my hair so soft. I also can use pretty much any product in conjunction with it.
Maybe miss: silk dreams wheat germ butter conditioner as a leave in. Made my hair a little dry. I may just use this as a conditioner and see.

hit: shea moisture african black soap. real african black soap (from africa) burns my face. thankfully, their version doesn't. it pulls my face a little tight (temporarily) but doesn't burn.
constant hit: straight aloe vera spritz

Oh wow, the African Black Soap Purification masque can be used as a leave-in? Even with the clay in it?

Wow. Super brain fart. I actually had no clue it had clay in it. Well I haven't have any ill affects from using it as a LI. But I probably won't be doing it anymore. =\ shame too it works really well wit my gel for shiny super defined curls... Oh well. I just got the oyin hair dew, so I hope it can give similar results. =)

Hit: I am really loving Karen's Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia Leave-In. Been using it as a leave-in, detangler, and a styler. The only product I've been using for 2 weeks now.
Miss: Running low on products but on a no-buy until Feb. Can I make it?

Hit: Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee! When a little time passes and it solidifies it is bomb!
Misses: Curl junkie Curl Rehab as a leave in, different strikes for different folks I guess. I really thought I would love it for that purpose based on reviews. Well now it will have to prove itself as a deep conditioner...and its competition is fierce, its cousin Deep Fix ain't no joke.

Super MISS: Shea Moisture Organic Yucca & Baobab Anti-Breakage Masque My hair was so dry and tangled after using this, it took several deep conditioning treatments with my heat therapy wrap and steaming just to get my hair back to normal. I have some other stuff from this line that I've never used... seriously doubt I will even try.
Disappointed since I really like the Coconut & Hibiscus line.

Hit:
Miss Jessie's super sudsy shampoo.
Super miss:
Miss Jessie's Creme de la creme conditioner. I tried to use it as a leave-in. No slip and it made my hair frizzy and hard. I had to re-wash my hair. Got it in the BOGO. Bad choice.

Hit: Devacurl No-poo: it smells awesome and leaves my scalp feeling very clean
Miss: Devacare One Condition: the scent is awful and leaves my hair smelling like an artificial orange plantage *yuck* , it isn't slippy at all and i feel like the more i use the dryer and frizzier my hair gets.

Yea it's like the Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus is the only good thing from the line so far. That yucca mask was patchy and wack, maybe if you mix it with something that has more of a spreading slippy effect if that makes sense would be better.

HIT:
BoBeam CoCo & Rhassoul Detox poo bar...suds in one swipe, hair and scalp felt soft and cushioned during the process...even after, hair remained soft w/o a stripped waxy feel. The usual expectance from BoBeam.
