Default New Hair Tool: "Sprangz"

Cynthiarf from YouTube appears to have come up with a new hair tool/invention. It looks like a tool that kind of mimics/simplifies the banding process used for stretching the hair. It looks pretty cool.
Quote:
s p r A n g z is the first and only weighted hair tool
that naturally elongates curly, coily and kinky hair

s p r A n g z transforms your hair into wavy locs unique to your curl pattern
with or without the use of heat or hair care products

s p r A n g z can also be worn
as a hair styling accessory
for all hair types

sprangz

She made a video of it

The sprangz come in sets of 10 for $20. She has a mini set and a large set.

Would you try it?

Neat idea! Especially since you won't have "band marks" on your ends.

The idea is nice, bur i wouldn't use it since i would have to manipulate my hair too much to get it into the sprangz - i also thunk that i would loose a lot of curl definition when putting it on my hair... But i like the idea though!

I guess the amount of curl definition one is able to keep depends on their texture and curl pattern. For hair like mine, coarse and grows up and out instead of down, it may give me the right amount of stretch. Plus my hair doesn't have a moldable curl pattern so that wouldn't be too much of an issue for me.

But I don't know for sure and I won't any time soon because I can't buy these.lol

I just may give it a try if I wasn't opting to not buy anymore hair products for a while. It's a neat idea and if I do decide to purchase I just may post a review on my blog. It's a neat idea to say the least.

I definitely would like to see some reviews as well. If I come by some disposable income soon I will get me a pack and review them myself.

Default Sprangz

This invention sounds genius to me. I would love to buy some and will asap. They don't sound anything like banding to me. Banding is a hot mess. There is no feasible way to dry the hair where the bands are, which is all over. These Sprangz things have openings and seems perfect since they're weighted.

That does sound interesting. I hate how banding leaves a crease too. BUT her hair is not exactly as curly/coily as mine when it is fresh out the shower and would want to see it in someone's hair like mine to se the actually curl elongation

They look interesting. And her hair is gorgeous.

I wish people would stop inventing things before I get a chance to. First Curlformers, now Sprangz. I've got to think and move faster.

That looks like a great product. The amount of elongation using them vs not using them was a big difference.
I would order them but my hair is different from what it was like years ago. Although elongated coils with no shrinkage is a desire for me. I may order in the near future. She should have a both at the WNHS. Gf would make a killing $$!

I think this is a cool concept BUT the way that she's advertising it is a bit weird and slightly misleading.

I thought that this product was supposed to be an alternative to straightening with heat but creating "loose curls"...sorta how people use rods.

I wouldn't know that this was just a more effective form of banding and reducing shrinkage based on the website because it says "like curlers for straight hair SPRANGZ uncurls curly hair".....and then that bit about it transforming your hair into "wavy locs".

You really dont get an idea of what the purpose of the product is until you watch her video. Looks REALLY interesting and she should probably present this to stores like Target and go to natural hair shows, but for me I don't know if I can pay for it till I see more reviews.

I wonder if this will work for thin fine hair.
