Default The ESSENTIALS

Ladies, what are some products/techniques that are essential to your regimen? Is there a certain special way you do your twistout/WnG or is there a some hair butter or deep conditioner that you can't live without?

Just wondering what your thoughts are

I don't have any essential name brand products yet, despite being natural for four years, however I've found that it is essential that I add olive oil and honey to my rinse out conditioners.

I must have
Coconut oil: for dry detangling and prepooing, need.
Bobeam Shampoo Bars: shampoo has been one of the most difficult things to get right along my journey, & has the most power to jack my hair the hell up. Her poo bars are thee perfect cleanser for my hair.
Heat Cap: I went a couple months this year without it, it makes a big difference.
Mason Pearson Combs/Denman: use these then try and go back to regular combs, no maam.
Protein Conditioners (on a regular basis): Mill creek keratin, Brown butter beauty, Aubrey GPB.. my hair will die without.
Sealants: Sealing is as crucial as protein. Any good butter blend will serve the purpose. As far as oils, my hair DRINKS my olive-peanut-avocado blend. I need nothing else

all of the above are things I do/use weekly, and when I have gone without my hair has shriveled up and died LoL

I've been trying to work in a homemade protein conditioner. My hair lacks moisture sometime but it really needs some strengthening.

Homemade ones are nice, you can always do one with greek yogurt.. but I need hardcore protein oftentimes.. the mill creek one is only about $4 on vitacost and keratin is the second ingredient. Its a lifesaver

2. Eden Body Works Jojoba Monoi Oil

Both of those bad boys make my hair feel great!

I also really like BASK Cacao Deep Treat.

How often do you use the Millcreek Keratin (weekly/biweekly)? My hair loves the henna and keratin one but I'm afraid of protein overload.

Henna used to be on my list but I'm afraid of staining the shower/sink at my apartment.:/

Hmm... I've never had any problems with staining. Even when I do a full on treatment instead of a gloss. If you do stain, I'm sure it will come up with a heavy duty cleaner.
