Deep Conditioners
Can somebody tell me about some really good affordable deep conditioners that work really well on 4b, 4c hair???? PLEASE!!!!! :-)

Personally, I use yogurt as the base for my deep conditioner. In fact, I uses it tonite... sometimes I'll mix in fenugreek, an egg, a banana, and/or some oil of choice. Try it plain and experiment with it..
As far as store bought, the organics olive oil pak, or whatever its called worked ok. The only other deep conditioner I've bought is the creme of nature argan oil and had terrible results. I used to think they all worked the same before buying that. My hair did not like that stuff. You could also try the queen helene hot oil treatment. I try to stick with what's cheap or natural rather than spend a ton on tiny bottles. |
Without knowing your hair properties it is difficult to give recommendations for products or recipes that will give you the best shot at good results. Otherwise, you will have a lot more trial and error. If you do not know your properties, you can find information here: http://livecurlylivefree.com/curly%20hair%20basics.htm
Also, if you know, does your hair like protein? Tolerate it? Hate it? |
Whether a product will work for you or not depends on a lot of things (like hair porosity), not so much hair type.

Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie. Don't be fooled by name. It is not a good curl enhancer but the bestest deep Conditioner. I have 4a hair

I like DCing with coconut oil and Shea Moisture Purification Masque. It makes my hair super soft.
I apply the coconut oil and then later on the SM Purification Masque. I DC on dry hair prior before shampooing. |
