Miss: DevaCare one conditioner. Too light for the CG method( I stopped applying after doing several handfuls and my hair still didn't feel like a jellyfish) and THEN it didn't play nice with my UFDCM.

Major hit:NjoiCreations hibiscus cream. I love this product so much! It definitely has a learning curve since a little goes a very long way and using too much can make your hair greasy. This week I tried it without a leave-in and I really loved the results. Love the smell and my hair looks and feels better since I started using it. It's also an awesome refresher

Hit: Koils by Nature Moisturizing Shealoe Leave-In Conditioner (got it as a sample in my Curlkit). I used it as a moisturizer before putting my 4 fat braids in ...I forgot that I used it...was wondering why my hair was so moisturized and soft today...then had an "OMG! My hair likes something other than water, olive oil and Garnier Fructis"-moment...lol!

Misses:

SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Masque as a styler...dried filmy
SheaMoisture Detangler...didn't detangle a thing
SheaMoisture Transitioning Milk...Not a lick of slip...period.
Curls Unleashed Curl Defining Creme...my hair was a tangly hot mess by the end of the 2nd day. Horrible.

I have never returned so much product in my life...lol.

Hit: HE Honey I'm Strong conditioner as a rinse out...excellent slip and my hair was soft after using this.

Hit:
Komaza Hair lengthening serum. I don't know about growing hair, but this has stopped my shedding. It smells like grapefruits and a little stinky. But the scent fades quickly. AND I'm not allergic to it!!

Miss: Installing the curlformers was a little hard. It took a while, but with time I am sure I will get better.

Prelim Hit: tastikiss ayurvedic butter. Got a small sample, it smells just like bubble TAPE! Its thicker/denser than I like to work w but thats not really a negative cause that means its not watered down w oils or air (if i buy a butter, I want butter!) first application my hair was soft, shinyband moisturized for almost a WEEK and I didnt have to wet it at all or apply product.
Redid my hair, not as great results but I thinned it w grapeseed oil to make it spreadable so that could be the cause. Didnt thin out the smell though, my coworker followed me around ALL DAY on Wed. Not even exaggerating. She kept coming to my area just to smell me lol.

Another Prelim hit: that may be responsible for the great first time results is the EO Chamomile & Honey condish. This is the only product I used diff last time, rinse outs dont usually affect my hair that drastically though so idk. The slip was great and it conditioned my hair well!

Miss Miss Misss
VO5 Split Ends - I'm protein sensitive and this was my rinse out yesterday. It made my roots tangle which my roots hardly ever tangle. I had to do another cowash today to get my softness and balance back.. I'm wondering if I just use it on my ends would okay but not sure I want to try it.

Miss: this combo: as I am cowash, tresemme detangler, curl junkie smoothing lotion left in, coily head chick hair perfection. My hair feels like straw. I noticed the smoothing lotion was kinda sudsy this time too. Not sure what is going on but I don't like it.

Miss
- Lush Curly Wurly. I spent 30 extra minutes washing pieces of coconut out of my hair. I was not amused!

Hit---> Bee Mine Luscious Cream Balance Moisturizer; my hair, esp the color treated areas suck this stuff up and makes my hair feel delish.

Hit---> Incorporating more oils into my haircare and skincare routine.

Hit--> Honey Curls Silky Honey Deep Conditioner; when left on hair for a few hours it made my curls feel really nice and smooth. Very soft and detangling was easy.

Miss---> Trying to use up DevaCurl One C...I finally just gave it my dad. I've had it for a long time and it sucked when I first got it, sucks now. Hard, weird tangly straw-like hair and I felt like it was sucking my color out.

hit: ordered hair from fingercomber and installed my own version of havana twists rather than paying $200. need more practice but they worked and i was told they look cute (even tho it's in a bun)

this protective styling stuff is addictive (for a hair lazy person like me)

Hit: revisiting Qhemet Biologics cocoa tree detangling ghee as a leave-in, moisturizing styler for my wash n go. I had no clue it has hold but this and sealing with oil is all I've done for the past few days...I love simplicity.January Hits and Misses-imageuploadedbycurltalk1359396135.208173.jpg

Miss: Bioluxe polishing Shampoo. Gave my hair a plastic feel. Must be all those polyquats
not styling my hair after the wash.

Neutral: TJ Tea Tingle Shampoo, didn't give me lather this time around.
Neutral/Hit: Oyin Hair Dew, the scent isn't too strong in winter weather. Prob would be better in the spring time. The twistout lasted for about a week, with no touch up.

Hit: Donning a high ponytail twistout puff, nice!
Hot Oil 6: This stuff is pretty good, added a boost of sheen, great for prepoos.
Shea Moisture: followed up a wash, with the Shea moisture culr & shine shampoo. great lather without the drying sulfates.
