Am I the Only One?
Am I the only one who doesn't care about shrinkage? My hair is below bra strap length, but it shrinks up to around chin length or even shorter, depending upon what I do to it. Yet, this doesn't really bother me, I think it's kinda neat. I wear twistouts most of the time, so it usually ends up looking like a short, curly bob from the 20's.
Anyone else? |
My hair shrinks a lot. I don't care either. This should be the worst thing I have to cope with and I would be leading a charmed life.

I used to hate it, but the shrinkage really grew on me. I feel like it gives me this nice little secret from the rest of the world. My hair was BSB (I cut it to above APL last week to get rid of jacked up ends) and it shrinks up to my chin also. I usually wear it stretched or in updos so people think it's short. Little do they know...
I wish I could show off my length more sometimes without having to use heat, but I know my hair's not like that so I'm finally cool with it. |
honestly thought i was the only one. people are like woe is meeeeee and my shrinkage
and i'm just here like THIS IS A MAGICAL SUPER POWER! lol sticks up and out maybe only 3 inches from my head but reaches past my collar bone. |
It depends on the look I'm trying to achieve but overall I don't care either! I get the bob look too...it's #BOMB

In the land of "Long Hair Rules", some curlies may feel pressured to show his/ her full length. IMO shrinkage is magical! Like others have said, it allows you to choose your desired length. Want short hair? Let it shrink and minimize friction damage. Want long hair? Stretch it out. I love it.
