When im doing everything right and my hair wont retain moisture I do a cpl things..
-cowash more often. Usually I need a midweek cowash but if my hair is dry and spritzing & sealing wont help. I do better by cowashing "early" and starting fresh.
-Clarify. Same concept as cowashing to start fresh. Sometimes u need a clean slate.
-Apply less product. This is a personal thing I do, i know some ppl do better w more product. But my hair will actually come out stiff and lackluster if I overdo it.
-Do a protein treatment. Protein helps my hair retain moisture. It might not be breaking, but wont act right & thats when I do a pt.
just what works for me, also.. Adding aloe juice to my regimen (spritzed on top of my li, then sealed in) helps noticeably w moisture retention.. HTH
