Miss: Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque as a DC
I did an overnight DC dry hair. The Deep Treatment Masque left my hair feeling kinda hard and my ends of didn't coil up as much as they usually do. Next time, I'll add some castor oil and honey to it. I can't wait to finish this product.

It's a total miss for conditioning for me but gives me the best, frizz-free twistouts of all time. This is how I am using it up.

Hit:
S-curl No drip Moisturizer
Very Very effective for me. It is basically my glycerin water spritz (which I LOVE) with silicone thrown in. Detangles like a dream and makes my hair super soft.

Hit: Hawaiian Silky Gel Activator
It makes the coils hold and pop and I have no crunch whatsoever...the smell's kinda funny, but it doesn't last long...

I was just looking at a 3/4 full tub of this product yesterday wondering what to do with it. Only works for me as a styler but I hate the smell.

Beautiful Textures Curl Definer Styling Custard-This stuff did not mix well with other products. When used alone, dried on my hair leaving a whitish, crusty film. This might have been a porosity issue. Curious to read other reviews on this product. Found it at Sally's.
Neutral
Dr. Miracles Strong Hold Gel-liked this until I saw flakes on my edges after it dried. Will try to use less product next time.

Hit:
Herbal Essences Honey I'm Strong...again! I really like this stuff.
Using oil and finger detangling a bit before putting on conditioner. A very useful tip that may just be a game changer

I finger-detangle with coconut oil and then top it off with my deep conditioner. It works better than conditioner alone, saves product and leaves my hair more moisturized.

Prelim Hit: Ology Moisturizing conditioner. Saw it on sale so I thought id finally try it, its CG friendly and has wheat protein (my hair has been liking lately).. its surprisingly RICH and creamy for a drugstore ro. Gonna test it some more but for now I like!
Sealing my ends with castor oil. My hair cannot really handle castor on the length, but on the ends it works great! When im done braiding or twisting & I get to the ends and theyre all frizzy, I finger coil it with castor and it smooths them out like a moisturizer would. Butters and other oils dont have the same effect, weird how these things work.
Bask Palm Tapioca for smoothing purposes only. Another one I dont like on the length so I tried this on my edges, bomb. It SLICKS all the frizzies and holds till it dries, then the hold softens up & just leaves the hair smooth. If I want actual hold for a style ill put a teeny bit of gel on top. GoodTG

Hit and Miss
Komaza shea butter lotion.
Hit because she removed the palm oil derivative ingredient and now it works on my hair. Soft, soft hair.
Miss is the scent. The perfume scent gives me a mega headache. For the last 3 days, I have been leaving the top off hoping the scent would fade.

mega supa dupa hit: elucense mb condish mixed with virgin pumpkinseed oil and peanut oil as a leave-in!!!!! my hair has never ever felt so good wet AND dry. i had to keep touching it just to be sure.
supa hit: my self-installed havana twists lasting 6 weeks. only 2 twists fell out from the back where my hair is a looser texture
supa hit: installed 2nd set of havana twists and getting the hang of doing them better (wasn't so focused on direction to start the twist)
supa hit: shea moisture frankincense baby wash as a shampoo. this is much thicker than their reg shampoos. unlike their reg shampoos, my hair actually felt clean.
hit: shea moisture deep treatment masque (feels very similar to komaza califia hair cream that i love) and shea butter to install and seal the ends of my havana twists
hit: not using gel to install my havana twists
miss: not being able to find shea moisture hair color in black
