it was 62 degrees in Northern NJ today, hair is soft and supple

Any more thoughts on the NBD cosmetics? Any pictures of the consistency?

I like the leave in better on dry hair and sealed with a butter. Its about to be spring though so I might not need to seal it. The cleansing conditioner is nice, doesnt top Daily Fix though but I will be using it again as Ive only used it once.

The egg treatment I liked but its only a monthly thing for me.Decent line. I never have any issues with NBD line, its just most of her stuff is light and tends to work better for me in the spring/summer ( leave ins and stylers)

Thanks! Wish she sold samples.

Miss: Dark and Lovely Glaze
I don't totally hate it but I'm not enthusiastic about this huge container of product I'm not crazy about. The first time I used it it was a disaster but then I realized I used too much because I have fine hair. The second time I used less and it was better but definitely not a repurchase. Plus I hated how the only way to get this stuff out of my hair was to shampoo. I'll probably shave with it.

Hit and Miss: Blue Eco styler
My hair hates the green and clear but I wanted to try this. I got the itty bitty jar. Just with li and oil, it dried my hair out horribly. But when mixed with fsg my hair came out gorgeous. I went dancing and my hair held when usually just with fsg it would have poofed out.

Not sure Yet: L'Oreal Evercurl Hydracharge cleaning conditioner.
Someone gave me this as bday gift. Maybe the problem is I thought it was going to be comparable to a cowash. Not true. it's much more drying. It has isoprophy alcohol which my hair tends not to like. I might as well use shampoo as use this stuff.

Hit:

Going back to my old standbys coconut oil, my butter mix and a spray bottle. my hair was very soft :D

Hit:

Finding out I still have plenty of the almond jai twisting butter by Camille rose and testing it out on a section. It seems great for twisting on the section I tried, however since it has honey in it the remaining question is will it impede me detangling that section easily. So I guess that makes it a pending hit.

Hit:

Finding out there is a target that is just a 15-20 minute walk from my house and that they too carry the Camille Rose line. Their leave in is bomb.

Miss:

Finding out there is a Target 15 minutes from that has a lot of other lines (Jane Carter, Karen's Body Beautiful, the new Shea Moisture products, Alba, Tigi, Matrix Biolage, etc. etc.) also. My wallet is already ready to fight me, it sees me coming.

Miss - Store bought hair color. I never learn. :sad3:

Miss:

Komazacare Califia Leave-in and pudding. The leave-in has no slip. Does not moisturize my hair and the smell makes me nauseous. The pudding has NO SLIP. Why would you make a product for wet hair that has no slip. Doesn't moisturize my hair at all. Thank goodness I used Komaza points to purchase the samples. Done with them except the Hair lengthening serum.

The glaze is a miss for me as well, its very coating. took a lot to rinse out. what i did like was the gelee. Now that was on point but the jar is very tiny

Does the gelee smell like the glaze? I forgot to mention I absolutely hate the smell of the glaze. Sickingly Sweet.

Hit: glycerin friendly weather, & it allowing me to use my smoothing lotion. This stuff is awesome man, though I still wish there was glycerin free version.

Preliminary hit: marie dean sweet cake whipped hair butter, im pretty sure its great. Creamy, dense and not whipped up with a bunch of air. It was full to the brim and it smells like 7-up cake. Im tempted to buy another jar before summer since she stops selling her butters, I like it THAT much.

Hit: DIY Aloe Vera Gel/Water/Vegetable Glycerin Spritz for finger-detangling.

This mix has great slip -- especially when used with coconut oil for finger-detangling. I'll be using it instead of plain water for finger-detangling from now on.

Naturalista 04-08-2013 01:34 PM

Hit: WnG with SheaM's new kids curly custard and hair mousse. Soft sexy hair!

Miss: Beyond 2 days... ****edaboutit. It needed refreshing. Perhaps the dews were slightly too low and I wasn't paying attention. I'll redo when it gets warmer.

Miss: Not prepooing with sm black purification mask. I haven't pre poo with coconut oil in so long so I decided to try it. My hair was so dry today. Maybe I didn't put enough on.

I tend to use a very generous amount. If I am washing my hair anyway I figure better more than less.

Hits:

Camille Rose Moisture Milk-this made my hair really soft and gave amazing slip.

CJ Curl Assurance Cleansing Shampoo-left my hair clean and not stripped. Will probably alternate this with my mud wash. Still need to try the Daily Fix to see if that works any better.

Blue Ecostyler + CJ Curl Queen-My W&G turned out really nice. Curls were well defined and only had a slight crunch. Will probably using this combo a lot this summer.

Miss:

CJ Pattern Pusha-this stuff did nothing to my hair. It didn't even clump or define my curls. I started to use it in the back of my hair and had to stop because my hair was frizzing up like crazy. It kinda reminded me of the Pink Ecostyler Gel that my hair hates for W&G's but loves for a twist out. Will try it again for twist outs and if that doesn't work off to the swap boards.

Hit: Using QB coco tree detangling ghee as a moisturizer. I finally used the sample that I had. Will definitely repurchase. It restored my dessert dry hair.
