Default How do you get your twist outs to last?

Im on day three and its all frizzy. I braid my head into about 4 loose braids and put my hair in a satin cap. Im not sure if thats the best method of if there is a better way. Thanks for any help

Do you use a gel? I can get mine to last 5 days. About day 4 is a bit frizzy, getting bigger, but it will last. The size of the twist makes a difference as well from what I have experienced.

im usually frizzy after day 3 too, but my hair usually needs to be moisturized around then anyway so I just reset. Applying product (to moisturize) & not resetting makes me frizziER, idk howw people get 5 days - a week out of a twistout. Maybe its the gel.. idk!

that was not helpful at all lmao

I can't get mine to look good more than 4 days. After that I reset or just start rocking a bun. After the 4th day my hair is begging for moisture and it shows.

I always do chunky twists at night. Otherwise my hair would mat something awful. I always seal the ends with a butter mixture or pomade. This method keeps SSKs at a minimum.

I think this first step is starting with twists that have been set with a product which has reliable hold for atleast 24 hours. After that I retwist in big twists each night and tie my hair with a satin scarf.

Here is a demo - quick tip: long lasting twist out / braid out - YouTube
