Default Crochet braids?

I am putting in freetress water wave crochet braids into my daughter's hair now. Any tips on maintaining the look?

Crochet braids?-imageuploadedbytapatalk1372566309.781772.jpg I purposely left the side out. Didn't want it big all over. She gets agitated with too much hair.

Too cute. I haven't worn braids for any real length of time in 15 years so I have no advice other than sleeping in a bonnet.

you did a great job.

My mom and I wore crochet braids for about 5 months! The way that I kept it neat was to:
1) ALWAYS WEAR A SILK CAP. It's super important. If you don't it gets frizzy very quickly.
2) In the mornings before school I would get a bit of Olive Oil Wrap/Set Mousse and run it through the curls to make what frizz did come up lay flat.
Another good tip is to make sure het scalp is well oiled.
Her hair looks fantastic mama!
