Lightbulb July Hits and Misses

I just realized we're in a new month. Barbecue and fireworks

Hit
4 naturals Spring back curling custard. Love light consistency and light hold. Says for 2s and 3s which I ignored.

Hit
Jamaican mango and lime jbco. Great seal. But i made the mistake of buying rosemary version forgetting I hate rm oil smell. Added other eo's so all good.

Hit
Jamaican mango and lime no more relaxer. Ingredients off the chain. I hardly remember my transition but will be buying this again.

Hit: washing my hair with rhassoul clay powder versus the pieces. My hair is a lot silker and my ends does not feel rough. The shine factor is off the chain.

lmao i was coming here to say the same thing! We dont usually get humidity, I usually only have problems because I work a mile away from the beach.. but lately, man. Birds nest on my head by the end of the day.

Preliminary Hit: I want to say the Koils By Nature Shealoe Leave in, because my hair started off great but the humidity is messing up the verdict.

Semi- Miss: Belnuovo Castor DC, I have one last use out of it but Im not impressed. Its not bad, just not as amazing as the reviews have made it seem. Idk if its because the other dc's ive been using are great and theyre outshining it or what. But I wont be repurchasing.
Plus I only got 3 1/2 uses out of it and though my hair is long, 8oz usually gets me farther.

i live across the street from the beach and this has been my worst summer for humidity since I went natural.

Think this is going to be a hit:

Nature By Design Cosmetics Curl Magic Styling Cream

So far I'm liking this, right now my hair feel soft and looks shiny. This cream is very light which I like since my hair is fine. I'll see how my hair feels in the morning.

Hit:

Blueroze Beauty Flaxseed Gel

This is a hit now, it works well for smoothing edges for a puff

Miss:
Kizuri Beauty Coco dc, rhassoul shampoo bar and detangling milk. pH's are too high for my very porous hair. The pH is 5.5-6. I need my products to be 4-5.0.

Miss: July is almost over.

Hit: Brown Butter Beauty Mixed Greens Pomade. I dont need this, but this is a quality product & id recommend it for those with hair loss issues. Itd be great for those with thinning edges or hair loss issues (like it says). Its a nice texture anddd im most impressed with the fact that it tingles. I hate when people advertise things for scalp issues and growth stimulation and theyre poo.

Major HIt:

Was having problems retaining moisture with Cush Cosmetics. Creme De Palm moisturizing cream. 2 minutes after applying it my hair was dry as a bone. I remember testing the pH and it was a 6.0. Too high for me. So I added a 1/4 tsp of ACV to it and voila..soft, soft soft hair.Amazing.

Hit: using the right amount of rhassoul clay for my hair wash. (1/4 cup) My ends don't feel as rough on the left side. It actually feels smooth as silk.

Hit:
Added ACV and castor oil to my BBB sweet detangling milk. My hair said Ahhhh.
BTW, did you know that BBB leave-in and conditioner are bases. I found the same ingredients at longhairlovers.com They just add emu oil and different essential oils to it and charge twice as much.

Miss:
Wen re-moisture conditioner or what ever it's called. Got samples from Sephora. Has NO SLIP. It's like putting straight shea butter on your hair. Left it on for 2 hours. Hair just felt heavy and mildly conditioned. Reviewers have said that it works best if left on overnight. I'll never know at $58 a jar.
