Anti Weave Pastor

Oh and for what its worth I couldn't read the article, but I definitely feel that banning "weaves" is absolutely ridiculous and does not address any issues at all. I have many friends who are women of color and do their own hair or friends, cousins, sisters, etc help each other do their hair and they can get decent prices on their hair. So I wouldn't judge that, and many women can do their own nails. I personally can't wear nails and have natural hair, but to me it seems along the lines of being presentable, to look professional for a job, etc. Of course there are those that overdo it here as well and abuse the system. But to single out weaves just seems wrong to me.

I'm not sure if you understood the point I was trying to make. This preacher's methods are questionable-no doubt. But as for ME, this man is NOT the spokesperson nor the poster child for Christianity, and as such, should not be used to bash the faith.

I hope that you know that there are millions of leaders in the church preaching and teaching the authentic Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you gave them a chance, maybe just maybe..........

I understand your point. It just has nothing to do with what I said.
No one stated that he was a spokesperson or poster child for Christianity, nor has anyone bashed your faith. This isn't about your faith. If you take an individuals right to not believe in organized religion as an affront to your religion than that is an issue that is yours and yours alone. I believe in bathing every day. I'm comfortable in that belief that it is right for me and my lifestyle. So if someone says "that's why I don't wash my butt every day" I will not take offense because that is their opinion as it applies to their life. They are not condemning my love for bathing...they are simply saying it is not what's right for them. And even if they DID condemn (criticize) bathing daily....that's their opinion and they have every right to it.

I don't understand, why you don't understand that.

I very clearly expressed displeasure in THIS pastors message.

This isn't even about Christianity, this is about an arrogant pastor who used his position to condemn (irony yet again) a group of people.

As a side note, if you have any form of belief in this country, you need to accept the fact that everyone is not going to agree with it. You also need to accept the fact that your beliefs are not special ones exempt from criticism. Just as you have your opinion, I have mine.

I could go back and forth with you all day...but will not. I found it offensive that you tried to get in a sneaky attempt to bash Christianity based on this Pastor's actions.

I am finished with this conversation. Good day.

That's generally what happens when you quote someone and make an accusation...they give a response. What, did you not expect for me to defend myself? You didn't ask me what I meant by my comment, you made an accusation that I was bashing a religion just because I said I WASNT religious. Again, you really need to come to terms with the fact that not everyone shares the same opinion as you do or beliefs. No one bashed you or your religion and you cannot present anything stating otherwise. You are the one that made this personal. You act like I just threw sand in your hair or something.

I was very specific as to who I had issue with...the pastor. If you are offended by the fact that I stated that I was not a Christian or bothered by the fact that in this country no religion is exempt from criticism, than once again....that's an issue that you will have to just get over.

Inquiring minds still want to know as to what you meant by "Maybe just maybe" in regard to me listening to other Christian leaders.

You can be finished with the conversation if you want, you probably should not have even started it. Just know that if you quote me and completely misrepresent what I said and accuse me of something that I didn't do...I'm going to respond back.

Be blessed!
