Is Your Hair Bougie?

I have decided that my strands are not quite bougie but close. my hair is super snobby about ingredients and many of the ones it hates tend to be in cheaper stuff $5 or less. My hair prefers all natural or mostly natural ingredients although a few non natural products do okay. Were it not for me being part kitchen mixtress and part bargain hunter I might spend so very much on products. But to me it is easier to buy my essential oils and such then add it in. I have neem, thyme, cedarwood, lavender, rosemary.

So I am curious about your hair. Do cheap products work for you?

Yeah my hair's pretty bougie but I think I did it to myself. Drugstore products used to work just fine but when I gave natural products a try the results were noticeably better and when I tried to go back to trying regular drugstore stuff (sometimes I STILL try to give it a shot) my hair isn't as moisturized, and silicones now make my scalp itch (I guess my scalp got used to not having them). I can handle sulfates, but most silicones give me the itchies something terrible and some lines like Herbal Essences now make me break out when it wasn't happening before. Weird stuff.

There's a few lines I'm good with (Garnier, and Tresemme before they started trippin with the formula changes in their naturals line) but I mostly stick with Shea Moisture, As I Am, and Giovanni products. I splurge on Jessicurl's Deep Treatment when I can afford the S&H (luckily a salon carries it in my area I just found out). I also have become a coconut, olive oil, and honey fiend. When I get more money I'll branch into bougier products (anything natural I can't get on the ground), but for now I still hunt for some good drugstore rinse outs/shampoos.

It does suck though that I have so much hair and the cheapest product that I can use is probably around 10 dollars. Lol

But I have a massive head of hair so conditioner goes too quickly to cowash with a little bottle of the bougie stuff. Reason why I no longer use my beloved Yes to carrots. I hoard TN and TJ because they are cheap, basic, good size amount and I can take them and add ingredients that would make them like the expensive stuff.

My hair is very bougie. The two things can use from the drugstore are gel and rinse conditioner. My styling products, leave ins, and deep conditioner has to be 95%-100% natural. No bases!

I have one drugstore shampoo, but I don't use it. It the aloe shampoo I forgot the brand
My hair is super bougie! My hair prefers products that are as natural as possible (no sulfates, silicones, mineral oil, parabens, etc). Natural products are better for my scalp (well balanced), hair (more moisturized and pliable) and hair style (better outcomes). I wouldn't have it any other way.
