Huge hit: finally trying flaxseed gel! I stopped being lazy and decided to try making my own gel and I'm freaking loving it. I added AVG, sweet almond oil, a pinch of Epsom salt and sweet orange essential oil. It came out so nice and gloppy and had so much slip. This I found my gel of choice.
adthomas and Fronomenal like this.
Hair: 3a, normal porosity and elasticity
My hair loves: Vatika and Bhringraj oils, adores henna.

Hit: Giovanni Direct-Leave in
hit: hello hydration shampoo. hair was stripped feeling but bounced back after conditioner

hit: hawaiian silky gel activator smoothed down the strands of my twists. turned mega dry hair soft & silky

hit: whole foods now selling oyin brands

hit: oyin greg juice. usually got juices & berries

miss: melting a shampoo bar to make liquid shampoo. after a few days, turned into a clumpy mess. prefer the solid bar.
LOIS (OS); cottony, TYPE 4 hair, fine/med strands; no cones bcz my hair hates them; last relaxer '98; now low porosity, ignores most natural hair rules; BC #8

faves: suave, v05 shampoo, conditioner (my own), raw shea butter, castor oil, peanut oil, aloe juice
Major miss: Ecco styler blue matted up my hair very bad. It was so awful that conditioning and deep conditioning did nothing to my hair. The Knot sauce from soultanicals barely detangled my hair. I have a lot of missing hair. My hair is not as full like before. God's willing it will grow back. Henna this weekend.

Semi hit: the knot sauce. My hair is really soft.

Miss: KCKT gave me a itchy rash on my neck like an allergic reaction plus Giovanni LI is better & cheaper at doing the same job without the irritation.

Miss: Ecostyler Krystal leaves my hair too crunchy and hard to rinse out with water. Hair also looked dull.

Hit: Ecostyler pink enough hold and easy to rinse out without looking dull.

Hit: Ecostyler olive oil as ecostyler pink.
Hit and Miss- twist and curls using perm rods.

It was super cute and I loved the look but I washed it out that same right. The reason is my hair felt way too producty and I couldn't take it. I used leave in, then curl cream then gel because I know some people do this. While I had little frizz my hair felt sooo coated. My hair is two fine for all that. I have a two product limit.

Miss: nice & curly 3-in1 shampoo/conditioner/detangle. Dried out my hair out.

Hit Bobeam ayurvedic oil as a treatment.

Hit trimmin my hair. Looks and feels better.

Miss I noticed some breakage on top front. I need to take it easy on the headbands. I love headbands though.
