Would this work on type 4 hair?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhyzBOhbyLA

A woman with type 3 hair blows out her hair quite straight with a blow out cream and round brush and blow dryer.

I want to start using heat regularly on my hair, but only with a blow dryer and not a flat iron. But usually when I blow out my hair w/ either a comb attachment on a comb/denman brush it never gets this smooth, just huge. But I'm thinking if I use a thermal round brush I can get a smoother sleeker look.

My hair is 4a/4b.
