Hey guys, I wanted to know what the best product is thats on the market to help regrow my temple area (edges). I was using cold pressed castor oil for about 4 months and Ive just decided to switch to the JBCO (jamaican black castor oil) that was being advertised more online.
Ive also heard about Dr. Miracles temple and nape balm and I rmr using that back in the day but never stuck with it long enough to see results.

Would love some input..thanks!
Just baby your edges and don't do too many styles that pull on them. Jbco is really good for some people, but I hated it myself and so do some others. Just try it and see if it works for you.
No product is properly going to regrow them if you don't baby them and look after them well though. Tbh, you can even grow them without any special product if you just look after them.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but without going to the doctor, is there any way to tell if the hair loss is perm? I haven't had edges since childhood. I'm hate to spend time and money on something that's just not going to happen.

If it's not from pulling your back tightly and frequently or chemicals, then it may be alopecia. I agree with Scrills about seeing a doctor if you don't have any of the behaviors that lead to losing this type of hair. I know among type 4 women that having no edges is common because of tight hairstyles and chemicals. Many women have had success with castor oil but it all takes some time, like six months to fully grow back.

I lost the hair around my temples from stress, thinning shears, and constantly pulling my hair back. I went CG and changed to a healthier diet, and no one could ever tell I once was missing my hair. However, I think I had alopecia.
