Best curl defining gel + soft hold?

Hello everyone! So I'm 15 and about to get a tapered haircut next week. I'm soooo excited! I was wondering what curl defining gel would be the best for my 4a hair. I don't like the crunch that ecostyler gel gives me and sometimes it ends up flaky. So is there another gel you guys recommend? (With soft hold) Hoping for a less expensive option than Kinky Curly Curling Custard too.. Thanks
Products I use:
Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Conditioning Co-Wash
TRESemme Naturals Radiant Volume Conditioner
Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream
Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie
Olive and/or Coconut Oil (depending on what I have)
you could try flaxseed.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it.
CJ Pattern pusha has a medium hold and is protein and glycerine free. I have never tried this but I hear Miss Jessies jelly soft curls gives a very soft hold.
3 ab Baby fine, Low density, high porosity, naturally pale blonde but growing out dark brown dye! And a UK Curly Girl
No/Low Poo: CJ Daily Fix, Deva No Poo
LI: CJ SL, KCKT, AJ Quench
RO: CJ Smoothing Condish,
Deva OC
DT/PT: CJ Repair Me!, CJ Curl Rehab, Hask Keratin
Stylers: CJPP, Ouidad CC gel, CJ CIAB under all gels.

If i listed all the products I actually own I would be embarassed!
You can try the Shea Moisture Gel Souffle - it doesn't create any hard crunchy effects or flakiness, and it creates a soft hold - and it's all natural.
^^ I STILL need to try CJ PP. I'm getting it as soon as I finish up my CK. I'm finding my gels a bit drying lately.
