Hit _ So I'm really in love with this SM Sach Inchi Oil Omega 3,6, 9 Rescue and Repair Twist and loc gel.

I usually read reviews before buying but since I practically got this for free from Ulta between the BOGO 1/2 off and my coupon, I thought why not. As some may know my favorite gel is FSG but there are some downsides to it for me. This stuff is a lot like FSG. The consistency is very watery which my hair likes. It can make it a pain to apply from the a tub though. The only downside is it flaked just a little but I think that was because I used a slight bit of Curls moisturizer in my li.. I don't think it likes it. I had the same issue with my Jane Carter Creamy leave in where some gels don't like it. Anyway, because the gel was lighter, my hair dried faster but gave enough protection to keep the hooded dryer from drying my hair out. My hair is so soft and moisturized. Warning, glycerin is very high up the ingredient list but there is no coconut oil, halleluyah
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it.
Lol I came in the type 4 section just to see if you had made this thread.

I usually don't have any hits or misses but this month YES I think I've found a real hit for myself. This is old & popular amomg the NHC but I'd never used it before. It's Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner. I've only used it twice so far but both times it has amazed me.

I really wasn't expecting much of it but it sure proved me wrong. It's one of the best conditioners I've used thus far. It has great slip (all natural products don't usually give me slip like this so I was very surprised; it melts tangles), it's all natural, it has tea tree, peppermint, etc so when you use it you get a really nice soothing tingle on your scalp (my dry scalp needs that), the peppermint scent isn't overwhelming (unlike other peppermint products), it only costs $4, is 16oz and of course most importantly it provides great moisture and softness to my hair. I love this conditioner right now. It allows me to detangle easier, treat my scalp and moisturize my hair all at the same time. I use it as a DC not a RO. I don't want to speak too soon but I assume this is gonna be holy grail.

We just got a TJ about 2 months ago. They're still expanding maybe they'll come to your area soon.

Hit I think SM is reasonable in price for the ingredients and the amount but I have heard some people complain about the price. Dollar General and Family Dollar now carry it. It's cheaper but I think the containers are smaller. I have seen hibiscus and Jamaican lines

For this month, a HIT for me is Cantu Coconut Curling Cream. It was a toss up between that and the Cantu Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream. I leaned slightly towards the curling cream mainly because I already have a ton of conditioners and I'm struggling to find a styler that defines and combats frizz. Now, I will admit that this curling cream does pretty much neither of those things (yet, I still need to determine how much to use) but it has made a little improvement in softness, which for me is YUGE! So, Im giving this a HIT rating even if I can only use it to soften before I apply gel. I think all the oils combined together must be a good thing for my hair.
2b with some 2a in front, 2b/2c in back
Low/Med density, High porosity
Course texture, Med length
Prewash: Coconut oil
Lo poo: Loreal Eversleek Reparative Smoothing
Cowash: Experimenting
RO: GVP CB
Leave In: KCKT/Tres Bot/Experimenting
Deep condition: SM DTM/Experimenting
Protein: Hask Keratin
Styler: Cantu Curl Cream, Camille Rose CM, Got2be Spiking Glue
Hit: Cover fx custom color drops, although I don't use them the way they're designed.

Undecided: Nails Inc. spray polish. I love the idea (I'm not a successful self nail painter), and I love the color I got (chrome silver), but I think it may chip easily. Still deciding.

(I'm not allowing myself to buy any more hair products unless I get rid of some I already have and thus far, that hasn't happened.)

Maui Moisture Strengthening DC - Hit

My hair really needed a protein kick and it did the job. However, it made my hair more tangled which is every pt so I can't fault it too much. My hair is a little dry but the balance should be back in a cowash or two.

Miss - Using Tresemme Natural volume conditioner as a leave in. great cowash. bad leave in.
