MATTED HAIR DISASTER

Need tips on how to unmat seriously matted hair. Emergency!!!!

Thanks
I posted in your other post - Trader Joes Nourish and Suave naturals Citrus Smoothie. Let them sit for a while, section your hair and with a wide toothed comb, hold a section in the middle and comb the very end. Work up the hair shaft untill you can comb from the root. Go to the next section.

Certain oils can also help detangle on dry hair. Do not comb if you use, just rub in and try finger detangling. Then shampoo and use the conditioner.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
Yeah, coconut oil is good at detangling if you put it in your hair before you shampoo and condition. It loosens up the tangles.
Mostly 4a..crazy hair

Currently using: 100% Aloe Vera Gel , VO5 Conditioners for Co-Washes, Jojoba and Africa's Best Oils, GV Biolage Conditioning Balm , Cream of Nature Detangling Shampoo, ACV rinses, Herbal Tea Rinses (rarely), Alba Botanica Leave-in

Goal: healthy hair and longer hair

how did your hair become matted, and how often do you detangle?

styles like two-strand twists or cornrows can keep your hair from matting if you don't feel like detangling it.
4a/b with a patch of 3c
OS - fine strands, wiry texture
big and thick beautiful hair
