Hi Spiral, is the BAQ easier to remove than other qualities? There were no twigs or anything in the batch I had, but it was very very gritty.

I'd like to know that answer to that too... I was assuming the grit was due to not mixing it with enough liquid.

Sun-Rei, the grit sounds like it might be sand. BAQ is sand free and very smooth. Add some honey, and it turns into a silky pudding that's easy to rinse.

So...I'm not 100% sure, but I think the henna is making my twists hang longer. Here's a comparison. I did twists yesterday, and I could swear they shrunk less. My curls don't seem looser though, so it's weird. There must be some other factor to shrinkage besides curl size. I Still need to wear my hair down and assess what it looks like as a wash n go.

spiral, your hair looks beautiful! Your twists do seem to hang longer compared to the other pic.

Good to know! I'll try the other stuff soon and post the results/difference. Thanks a bunch for answering.
ETA: I agree, your hair does look like it's hanging longer and is absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks Ashkins and Sun-Rei. I guess it's not my imagination then lol.
Sun-Rei - also try mixing in honey after dye release. I think you'll love the pudding like texture!

I was worried about adding honey b/c my hair dislikes honey usually, it tends to make it hard. Did you use honey in your DTs before henna?

Occassionally I would use honey. It always rinsed out pretty easy though. But if your hair dislikes honey, then maybe skip it. I've used BAQ without honey and it still rinsed well.

I'm too stubborn to wait so I JUST made another batch of Cassia and I will either do it tonight (i'm worried about sleeping with all that poop-like substance LOL ) or I'll do it tomorrow. Can I put the Cassia on right away (I mixed it with boiling water and honey) or should I let it sit for a few hours and do it tomorrow? Either way I'll let you guys know!
By the way, my sister loved the color of my hair. I love how it covered my greys without the harsh chemicals.

Mariage, LOL at "poop-like substance" . You only need to let rest if you're mixing it with lemon juice to get the golden dye from it (only shows up on really light hair). I wish I could find my instruction sheet from when I ordered cassia samples. I believe it said to mix it with warm water and let it sit for 10 minutes. Maybe Nikki will stop in and tell you about her mix.

So I'm watching the Red Sox game with my Cassia. Hopefully it'll bring them luck! woohoo!

Does anyone know how many times can you apply a cassia/henna treatment before your hair is over conditioned? For those of you who cassia in between your henna treatment, when do you cassia?
I've searched the hennaforhair forum and nothing. TIA!

I fell asleep after church, so I took these pics in the bathroom 'cause it is well lit. Notice the copper colored grey. i can see a sheen of redness over my entire head. Next time I may add the indigo to see how it affects the gray.

Darn all of you for having me turn my wallet out once again, lol I'm sure it's worth it though

I am going to try the neutral henna...can't wait. I think it is just what my hair needs.
Has anyone noticed drains getting clogged from the henna/cassia?

Are there any cassia users with grey hair? Has it turned your grey hair golden/yellow?
I have a few silver strains that I don't want to turn golden/yellow...not sure if I should still try the cassia.
Thanks!
