IDK about hibiscus but stains from teas and such added to henna are not permanent. Some herbs leave permanent stains but from my experience, most do not.
I wish I had an Indian store near me. I like the results of BAQ henna and don't mind spending a little more for it, but I'd prefer to buy henna locally. Some Indian stores I'm sure probably carry BAQ henna, too.

Henna Bath
So I finally have a place in town where I can buy henna A new Lebanese restaurant store. The lady asked me if I use henna for my skin and I thought she meant like for drawing. I said no I dye my hair. She told me bathing with it makes your skin unbelieveably smooth. So I bought the henna but decided to bathe with some neutral henna aka cassia I already had. And true enough this stuff made my skin feel amazing. It is hands down the best body scrub I have ever used. it got rid of a lot of dead skin. The only hitch was since it doesn't feel as abrasive as a sugar scrub I think I rubbed it in too hard and got a little redness but nothing bad. Then I bathed with my EVOO soap for my body and Goat's Milk for my face to put moisture in my skin. I will definitely work this in my skin reggie. Now I wouldn't use my beloved Henna Sooq order for this but the stuff at the grocery comes in a large container for cheap.

I use the hibiscus flower petals and I use twice as many per cup of water as I would if I were making a tea to drink. I hope I made sense in how I explained it.

i have not hennaed my hair in so long. i was shedding globs of hair and could not figure out why. i started using trigger hair oil which my shedding less but i was still shedding.
i started reading this thread and people were saying how henna stopped their shedding so i decided to truck it all the way across yonder to get me some henna and they didnt have my napur 9 herbs so i got jamila and ayur rajasthani.
i mixed with jamila with hibiscus and water and let it sit for 1 1/2 hours before i applied it and let it stay for 4 hours.
it was super easy to rinse and my hair was instantly soft and dark dark dark.
today i co washed with carols daughter chocolat conditioner(for light protein) and i have major elongation. but my curls look the same. its eird but i know elongation from henna is temporary.
i just ordered 3 bags of napur 9 herbs and amla from ayurnaturalbeauty.

I've heard this all the time about henna that it can decrease curls and also that it thickens hair. I assumed these things are long-term but they are not in my experience. Has anyone got long-term straightening-out and thickening from henna? I don't want to lose my curl but extra thickening would be nice since I've lost some thickness over time.

its been 3 days since i hennaed and my loosening is already gone. so in my experience its very temporary.
the thickening i dont know if its temporary or not.
but it stopped my shedding so i will keep doing it every few months.
also im going back to all the other ayurvedic powders too.

Umph, I really like Jamila BAQ. I usually get it on amazon but was going to buy from ebay this time b/c I saw BAQ 2012 Jamila at $8.00 (including shipping). That hennasooq deal though sounds like it would end up being around the same price and I've been meaning to try out hennasooq since many people here like it. I was going to get their yemeni henna until I saw a yemeni henna on ebay and can't decide what to do. Thanks for the info on the deal - may go ahead and try their yemeni plus pick up a Jamila.

Chebaby, I mention that because I noticed you use nupur. I noticed major curl loosening with that one and though it wasn't permanent, I thought I'd never get my curls back! I think there was something off about nupur though because I sometimes noticed a rusty smell with it. I've heard hennas made for hair often contain metallic salts so I wonder if that's what it was. I also thought it was incredibly drying compared to Jamila. IDK I don't want to go back to that brand but I loved the darkening aspect. I've done henna and indigo but wasn't pleased with it either.

I like hennasooq; give them a try. The shipping is phenomenal! and now they include samples I like free stuff. Here of late, they've been having awesome deals. I am a member of their blog and get updates/deals about their products.

I think I will but I'm waffling again because I haven't been satisfied with how henna is covering my grays lately. Jamila usually does an adequate job of covering them, but there are 1 or 2 newbies that it can't touch. Since Jamila BAQ is one of the best I'm doubting that any henna can. I don't want to go back to other dyes but I have an old box of Clairol....
If I've used suspicious henna on my hair (Rainbow & Nupur, specifically) what's the worst that can happen? Anyone have experiences with this?

I've had no personal experience but I read about them being extremely drying, worse than the real thing.

Yes, they're really drying, worse than Jamila though Jamila I find to be drying, too. Ahhh I'm too chicken to go back to permanent hair color. I'm afraid with the cheapy henna I used in my hair, it's gonna turn green or somethin. I'm going for Hennasooq - got to see what all this fuss is about! Placing my order today!

Just wanted to update - I bought 100g Red Raj and 50g Yemeni. I haven't gotten them yet, but looking forward to it. I'm anxiously awaiting actually. I don't normally spend $20 on hair products.
curlymuffin, thanks for the info. I've heard that site is good. I need some more Jamila because I love its copper tones, and plan to mix it in with my hennasooq hennas.

You're welcome! Yes that site is awesome. It's the only site that I buy Jamila from. I just did a gloss actually on Sunday. My hair's in twists now I'll take em down this Sunday for church. The front part of my hair is what has the most color (it's always been like that) and I can see some nice copper tones.

I'm trying out a new henna powder today. I bought it at Mediterranean store instead of ordering from Henn Sooq. Fingers crossed!!!
