I've used ojon as an oil treatment, and the results are pretty spectacular: softness and shine, but most significant is how it seems to CALM my hair down. Now. to be honest, I did not think these results were so much better than what I achieve with regular coconut oil to justify the price: ojon is at least 25 times more expensive than coconut oil. But I do think the calming effect of ojon is unmatched by anything else I've tried, especially on my 4a patches of hair. I've even gotten -- gasp -- second day hair after an ojon treatment, it makes my hair lay down so.
Ojon is a little more solid at higher temperatures than coconut oil, though, so it is a good travel hair item for me and has been in my travel bag for months. I pulled it out this past weekend, and applied about a teaspoon each day before going out to the beach. Once I was done with my sun and water activities, I condition-washed and styled as usual, and my hair looked fantastic. You would never think it had been baking in the sun all day and getting in and out of water.
It's worth getting a sample. I don't know if I'd buy another $55 tub again (although I'll keep my eyes peeled for a curlmart coupon), but I don't regret having bought it.
ETA: Don't go NEAR that cute little comb they include with the treatment. It's an unsanded wood comb that will tear your hair out quicker than you can say B-A-L-D. <shudder>
