Default Mixing Fantasia IC gel w/curl activator

Has anyone tried using both Fantasia and Long Aid activator gel together? I would think it would be a good combination of hold and moisture. I am thinking about trying like as a two to one thing.

I have mixed them together. Ic gives the extra weight to my hair that the curl activator doesnt, the curl activator keeps the Ic from having too much crunch and doesnt dry my hair out as much as it would with the Ic by itself.

Yup! Just what Cutietootie said. I don't mix them in my hand, I put on the Long Aid first and then a few dabs of IC gel.

Waves and coils jump out w/the long aid and IC keeps them in place.

I hate the long aid activator gel. I dont like the feeling of curl activators in my hair. I really dont know why. I mix the fantasia IC gel with a drop of vegetable glycerine. I get amazing result with no crunch at all and very soft hair.

I do this over a leave in conditioner.

I did try the mixture lastnight and my hair feels soft and looks shiney. I used the gel first then the activator. I think I will start mixing them for now on and maybe try what Kesse said when I get paid again.

What a great idea! I also hate the curl activators. I've tried plenty (I even bought one a few days ago (just the PJ in me). Curl Activators make my hair feel squeaky and limp AND frizzy. I love the Fantasia IC gel and so far its my only staple.

About how much glycerine do you add? Also, does the added glycerine add to the drying time??

Beautiful Hair, girl! So I guess the curly pudding didn't really work out for you? Pls let me know. I read that many people use the Fantasia gel instead....

Me too I been using Ic fantasia gel, with veggie glycerin with my leave in. Fantastic results. My hair has so much moisture and curls look so nice and healthy, also having less shrinkage which is an added benefit.

I buy my VG at the health food store.
I read somewhere on the NC board that someone found it at CVS
I have to get more today, because my eldest son has started using it to make his waves shine!
