how to stop frizzy curl

Hey, i'm experimenting these days, to see if I can get my hair in to a state that I actually like, while using up products I have...
Right now, i'm experimenting with s-curl spray, s-curl gel and Fructis shine serum...

My hair actually likes it, and makes waves/curls... the problem is, it dries very frizzy.
I'm not even having that much of a problem with shrinkage... I love how my hair looks when it's wet, When it dries, however, I get a big poof around my face... Some waves... more poof...

My hair is 4a... and i thought that it was a problem with clumping.... nope.
My hair will clump alright, if i coax it... it just dries into something i don't necessarily want to walk outside with...

Any suggestions on how to stop the poof while drying to make it look like I actually have some sort of curl instead of just a nest on my head?

I had a similar problem when I was texturizing my hair. There are few solutions that I can think of off the top of my poof :)

1) Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper:
A bit pricey but it always contained the frizz. Applied when soaking wet. Could give a lil' crunch but nothing too bad

2)Fantasia IC Polisher:

When your hair is almost totally dry, I suggest mixing a small amount of polisher with a leave-in conditioner. The polisher is heavy enough to coax the frizz into the clump where it belongs :) I think this would also work with Smooth-n-Shine's Polisher as well as Curlfriends Shine Polisher

3)Fantasia IC Styling Gel Polisher w/ Sparklelites
Warning: This can dry crispy but on loose waves like yours (you have EXACTLY my hair I think), just place some gel in your hand, mix with water and then rake through the loose waves. They will clump beautifully with minimal frizz BUT they will not curl until it dries so don't be discouraged :)

Those are my tips and I hope they help!

I second that AsjaChyld... those items have all worked for me. Also try mixing half of the activator and the fantasia gel it woks wonders. Try not to touch your hair while wet, at least at a minimum. Also try a good leave-in, I find that also helps me.

Thanks guys! i'm on my way to go get some of this IC gel with sparklelites.
I will experiment tonight and tell you guys what the verdict is...
I did however get some results with Mango butter, which i applied like i was shingling it...
Can't wait to see what this IC gel is saying...

The Fantasia IC Gel is wonderful. It sets my style without a whole bunch of frizz! 8)

Results?
Sadly, I didn't get the right gel.
I thought i picked up the gel with sparklelites, instead I got IC pomade.
IC pomade? :( can't say too much about it. I ended up putting it into my "try-another-day" product box...

Today however, I saw A:G recoil. And I was scared. I am a product junkie. I can't help it.

I saw it. I pondered over it. then.... I purchased it.

I love it!!!!!

Yea. A:G recoil ain't no joke. I added it with my curl activator, and s-curl wave gel, and yes, my hair is nicely wavy-curly. (i've only tried it in the front of my head so far, and that's the hardest area to curl on my head... it doesn't do anything, while the rest of my head makes spirals.)

Yes. maybe tomorrow, when i test it out again, I'll hate my concoction,
but tonight?
2 thumbs up!
