10 Day Detox Challenge??

ahhh Im IN! I eat so much junk....my body NEEDS a detox...Ill starty Monday---and lets keep each other motivated!!! this is gonna be a hard 10 days...let me go make a batch of brownies before monday!

This sounds pretty good! I'm in, but I might have to lightly steam some of my veggies and add a little sea salt (is that okay), I've been eating a lot of raw fruits and veggies lately, almonds, pecans, and drinking snapple green tea (the one with low sugar), so I should be able to transition to this.
Natural since Oct. 2002. BC for the 3rd time in July 2008. 5-7" of natural 4a hair.

I'm in too! It will be hard but I'm going to come in this thread everyday for motivation if I have to....I'm going to go to the Farmer's Market and stock up on some berries and veggies this weekend!

i sooo need this!! i did the master cleanse a few years ago..it was so hard but the results were fab..i felt lighter, cleaner, and my cravings diminished. i also did a kale/spinach salad cleanse that had similar results...i'm w/ curlynikki, i need support. otherwise i fall off, off, off...i'm going to wholefoods or trader joes tomorrow for ingredients...

So we are not allowed to eat anything or drink anything other than:
1. Fresh Berries (of all types)
2. Fresh Veggies (specifically leafy green ones, broccoli, carrots, etc.)
3. Almonds (protein)
4. Water, Water, Water (74oz of water)

Are we allowed to drink juice? I too will do a cup of oatmeal with brown sugar in the morning as well as add in some yogurt. Is that okay? I also have a daily supplement that I take twice a day, is that okay as well?

Also are we incorporating a fitness regime into this as well?

Last but not least, when we lose some weight over the next ten days, how will we keep it off. I need to lose 10 lbs by May, and could stand to lose another 15lbs after that. I just don't want to yo-yo diet or do something that is unrealistic and that will bring on more weight in the end.

Please someone way in. I just hate to lose this weight and then put it right back on.

Oh and can we drink diet tea while we are on this cleanse program, I love some diet tea!!

What's on your regular grocery list? It's a hard thing to do and I know, but I changed what I bought at the grocery store. I avoid buying unhealthy snacks. I figure if I don't have them in the house, I won't eat them. And it works as far as me maintaining my weight. I have a piece of cake every now and then, I just don't have it everyday.

Breakfast:
1 cup of oatmeal (when I get the time...I'm usually running in the morn)
1 yogurt cup (organic)
Berry Mix (strawberries, blueberries, rasberries and blackberries)

Lunch:
Spinach/salad mix (w/ balsamic vinegarette dressing)
Berry Mix
Almonds

Dinner:
spinach/salad mix
1 cup of brown rice
Berry Mix
Almonds
1 yogurt cup

Lots of WATER


Keep in mind, I'm not trying to lose weight. I'm doing this purely to detox. For those of you that want to lose the 10-15 pounds, you should stay as close to the following regimine:


Almonds
Berry Mix
Greens (all kinds)
Water

You can eat as much as you like of these...

This will run from 3/17/2008-3/26/2008


In other (random) news, I was at the store today and I ran across rice milk based ice-cream. I'm lactose intolerant (but you couldn't tell...I loooove dairy, and choose to deal with the consequences ), and ice cream hurts me the most. I bought a pint and it's really good. I haven't had ice cream in a while, but it seemed to taste like the real thing to me. It's also lower in calories, fat and contains no transfats.

I've decided to do it too. I started today since I work all weekend anyway. It's only 5:40pm and I've already realized how much it sucks. I'm craving all kinds of stuff...See's Candy, cheese, ranch dressing, carbs would be wonderful. I read that the irritability and cravings should stop somewhere after day 2...I hope so. This is gonna be harder than I thought.

Lunch: organic herb salad w/ artichokes( i'll just pour the artichoke juice over it for dressing.

red chard, kale, and spinach sauteed in olive oil( is that okay or can I only have it steamed?)

and green tea and water. I figure green tea leaves are green and come from the ground. I hope that's okay too???

CN....you should mix some almonds and dried cranberries in your salad mix. I do it all the time and it's super yummy.

Does anyone realize that this will go over easter weekend!! Oh wow, we are going to visit family and they will have a feast going on for sure....I dunno how I will resist. Maybe I can just eat salad, bring almonds with me and try to eat only vegetables and no meat on the big day.

I am still down, I just need to think of my game plan prior to the 23rd.

Any suggestions??

Sorry ladies but I'll be sitting this challenge out! My kids are on Spring Break so that means a weeks worth of fun activities and yummy food! However, I will keep up with my normal exercise regimen. We're going to the rodeo tomorrow and I'm sure we'll have some good Texas bar-b-que. I've been on a strict diet for weeks in preparation for this. Also, for Easter I'm making a juicy turkey breast, corn bread dressing, and a cheesey vegetable casserole of some sort. I haven't decided, yet. It'll be like Thanksgiving around here. Happy detox to you ladies and good luck! lol.
3c-4a; Protein Sensitive(forms of wheat, keratin, soy and anything "hydrolyzed"). My hair hates coconut oil and jojoba oil(sometimes).

OK so I bought lots of blueberries, veggies, trail mix, granola cereal for breakfast, a large bottle of Odwalla carrot juice... I will try it today and see how I feel. I don't know if I can do it for ten days straight, but I will at least give it a try. I need a kick-start for my diet and this just might be the push I need.

so, i'm disappointed b/c i have a cold/flu thing going on, and i didn't feel up to going to the store to get anything. i feel horrible. i'm just going to focus on dragging myself into work for the week. i'll be on detox in spirit and as soon as i can get to the store i'll actually begin....i am scared of caffeine withdrawal though...i have a starbucks/karibou/au bon pain/panera bread addiction
