Apple Cider Vinegar. No matter how much or how little, it stinks to high heaven.

Devacurl One Condition-- smells like very strong, toxic floor cleaner to me. But the smell fades as my hair dries, thankfully.

Devacurl Set It Free-- I don't know what it smells like, it just smells bad to me. But it works so well!

And one that I wanted to try based on how many people like it is V05 Strawberries and Cream but I couldn't get past that smell. I took a sniff at the store and it was like I got a strawberry scratch 'n sniff sticker stuck up my nose!

Oh, I'm not quite a 4a, I usually just lurk here and learn stuff, hope you don't mind I posted!

I hate the fake/candy smell of this stuff! Why would you want to smell like cheap candy?! It overpowers everything. My husband gags! LOL

Qhemet Honeybush tea..good stuff, stinks like a alley..
ORS Olive oil and Carrot Creme..the carrot is just rank but so great to use.
I don't get why hair products need to be so strongly scented...they can be stronger than my perfume.

YES! I wish I could be part of some massive market-research survey and tell all the manufacturers, "Lay off the scents! Especially the completely manufactured ones!" So many products I've wanted to buy but left on the shelf due to this reason.

VO5 Strawberries and Cream and Suave Milk and Honey. Gag! But I think the Qhemet HBTG smells good. And I like Elasta Mango Butter. Did not smell like mangos though.

kemi makes a few products that my hair loved. but their entire product line is formulated with the same cloying fragrance. no matter how long you rinse. it's a pungent candy smell like smarties candies. i like to eat smarties; i don't like to smell like them. i don't like my hair to smell like candy, potpourri, or room deodorizers. so i'm veeeeery limited in what i can put on my hair.

i hate that many hair product lines that target black people think that we all like the smell of coconuts, cocoa butter, that sickly sweet watermelon jolly rancher aroma, and bergamot. coconut is my all-time most hated fragrance for personal care products.

i tried one of herbal essence's conditioners once and it worked wonderfully, but all of their shampoos and conditioners smell the same. a sick combination of candy and flowers. and they have the nerve to have 50 different formulations, but all of them smell the same!

biolage detangling solution is hands-down the best instant detangler i've ever used. but it smells waaaaaaaay too chemically like floor cleaner. it almost has undertones of ammonia to me. but after reading the ingredient list, it shouldn't have surprised me.

currently, i'm using aubrey organics clarifying shampoo. it has very few ingredients and it leaves your hair smelling fresh and clean, and not like a bunch of perfume or essential oils.
