I Know Some Black Women Are Obsessed With Length But......

Is there a limit to what some women would do to achieve a lot of length in a short period of time? I heard there's a number of women who use monistat on their hair. Is this true????????????
"It moisturizes my situation... preserves my sexy."
i heard about it on www.longhaircareforum.com

someone posted that they know someone who uses it and it's been helping their hair. i'm sorry, but there are LIMITS!!

next thing you know, someone will say put monkey s!@t and horse piss in your hair! that's just CRAZY!!!!

i will stick with herbs and natural stuff like that!
LOL, I guess there are no limits. I also heard women use monistat to relax their hair

What, and placenta isn't gross?
Barely wavy mommy to a fine, silky with thready corkscrew 4 1/2yr old girl. HG's Moisture Maniac, PM The Conditioner, Cactus leave-in (original formula)"Mommy I want to look like a lion!" = hair loose and flowin'.
Yeah it is gross and not only that, I posted a topic about harmful ingredients in black hair products and placenta is dangerous. I'm going to bump the article.

i dont think is any worse than those that put the horse crap on their scalp...but to each his own. I'll allow nature to do its thing. If i am meant to have hair to my butt it will happen

Actually the monistat thing is not that unheard of.

I saw an episode of Oprah about beauty secrets where women said they use a 'personal' hygiene cream as an eye treatment. I've read the same thing in magazines also.

Does anyone know what the active ingredient(s) are in the monistat?

The 'personal hygience cream' referred to is actually Preparation H--people use the same active ingredient that shrinks...well...you know.. to reduce puffiness around the eyes. I have heard from some folks that the US version of Prep H doesn't do the trick--it has to be the international version, as it is the original formulation.
