Sweet, thanks! This is exactly what I do with a little 99 cent scrunchy... I need to find a black sock, because it will make my bun look HUUUUUGGGE

Thanx again Larissa Do you wear sockbuns?

I found an old black sock, cut it up and made me a big 'ol bun!!!! WOW This is awesome and even easier to form (compared to my little scrunchy). I have a DT in right now, but I will definitely rock a sock bun tomorrow

Yeah but how do you put that in your hair to achieve the round bun effect?

Just slide it around the pony tail holder...now all of your hair is sticking out a big donut. Spread the hair in all directions to hide the sock and secure the hair into place. Hope that makes sense...once you put the donut on, you'd realize what you needed to do.

Just an FYI. You might want to cover your sock with either plastic or a silk scarf or something cuz most socks are made of cotton and that dries your hair out. I rocked this hair style with relaxed hair in JH and after about a month had some breakage.

What I do is make the sock bun like in the video...and then take a black knee high (or a black dress sock) and but that over the bun (using the same method) and that keeps the breakage away.

Thanks larissa. I know that's going to help someone because I remember my goofy self trying to figure out the sock bun thing and you can only imagine all of the things I used to do with that sock to try to make a bun. It took me a while to figure out that I was missing the simplest thing.
