From looking at ur pics ( which ur hair is really pretty and I love the color by the way) any who...I think u can make a bun. Ur hair looks about the length of mine. I use chunky twists to stretch my hair where I want my bun to be. I can use the sock/scrunchie method on wet or dry hair, that just not happening for me. That or I just haven't mastered it yet. Anyway I fold my ends under all around and it forms a bun. Pics r in my album if u want to see what mine ends up looking like.
Thank you Soon2b! I'm gonna have to check out your pics bc I am in serious need of some help making a bun ....It's probably not as hard as I think it is! When I finally figure it out I'm going to post pics.

I started with a thick braid and then turned it inside out for a bun. See the braid I started with:

I finally figured out how to do a scrunchie bun! Hooray! Kudos to whoever posted the "how to" on this thread. I love it and it looks so elegant. I didn't think I had enough hair but I do

OMG Fleurtzy! I had no idea your hair was that long. It's beautiful. I hate your guts lol. I'm kidding. Maybe this bunning business will help me out too.

Oh, and you're looking fabulous post baby.

EDTA: So, I'm wrapping up my second Aphogee (I'll post my response in the Aphogee thread) and washing my hair I realized some things. 1, the bun means less shedding. 2, the bun keeps the moisture locked in. I found a darker, longer sock last night and covered it in a knee high to make it more curly friendly. I'm pretty stoked, my bun is going to be bigger.

Fleurtzy!!! Your hair is sooooo long! That is the length I'd like by the end of the year...perhaps by the end of the challenge We shall see.

In other news, I got 2 compliments on my bun today while strolling through the mall

Thank you for the compliments ladies, especially the part about me looking fabulous (HeatherNicole). I just did my first challenge bun and I am really optimistic that this is a challenge I can see thru, plus it's just for 3 months.

Nikki, congrats to you. I'm sure the compliments will keep coming. Your hair always looks good.

I have something of a wimpy scalp/head. I get headaches if I have a bun in all day and all night. For this challenge, I've been taking down my bun and wearing a satin sleep bonnet. Very unsexy, but it protects my hair.

don't feel bad i have a wimpy scalp/head too...hats, headbands, ponytail holders all cause me discomfort for longer than a day...what options do we sensitive scalp/headed gals have?
