There was Tresemme Naturals on sale at CVS for about $3 ($2 off). I'd heard great things about it, so I gave it a shot. Glad I did. It's now my staple shampoo/conditioner for now. The Herbal Essences wasn't doing anything for me.

I wish I could find a good moisturizer to use on dry hair in stores. I've been tempted t try some cheap products knowing darn well they won't work (cones n mineral oil). *sigh* that's the only thing I can't get on the ground. How difficult is it to make a light cone-free, mineral oil-free moisturizer that won't require me to wet my hair?

You are sooo right. I have tried to get past the smell....I just cannot. I've "under" used it twice just because of the smell.

Sta - sof-fro ladies....no cones...no mineral oil. If the smell bothers you...add a bit of peppermint EO to it. I water mine down a tad bit and add some conditioner to it (50% SSF, 25% water, 25% leave in)...works like a charm. You could also do just plain SSF or a 50/50 mix of SSF and water.

That is my dirty little secret. I am always borrowing DH's SSF.

I had an epiphany:

I really liked the buttercream by Keracare but just wasn't lovin' it on my hair when dry so I just mixed a lil bit in a botle with some warm water to make a lotion. Woot. So now I have a cone-free mineral oil-free moisturizer I can get up the street. Based on the amount used one jar should last me the rest of the year.

I am going to try Sta Sof Fro anyway because I'm curious about it. Is it sticky?? Does it make a good detangler or refresher spray? I'll find out when the no buy is over. than you NCC for the suggestion.

Safi's Pop Curls Defining new formula now includes flower water instead of flaxseeds but has the cost of flower water increased that much to command $17.50 for an 8oz jar that is only good for 2/3months?

Forreal forreal???

Bought the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibicus mist and Curl Milk last night. Is it sad when you get excited over buying new hair products?

So my coworkers never see my hair down cuz I do alot of buns for work. The other day it rained I wore it under a fedora and there were all saying omg your hair poofs out like that? Soooo cute!!!!!! Wear it out please for us! Of course I will when the summer comes. Mind you this is a prestigious store in flat iron new york city. Everyday im learning there are people out there who appreciate uniqueness. Anyone.experience this at thier job?

damn, Damn, DAMN!
I order my Donna Marie from Sage Naturalceuticals now. Free shipping w/ $60 and I'm usually reupping everything so it's easy for me to get to that, and then I can order some Oyin or Darcy's too if I want.

Bunning again. My hair is so soft like this!

I saw that and was intrigued...the old formula has been working well under UFD curly jelly so I was going to check it out along with the pop curls gelly....not anymore. 17.50 plus shipping is unrealistic.

Playin' with hurr products since I can't buy any. Mixin' up stuff I ain't too fond of just to see what happens.

I mixed up in a bottle some water, shea moisture smoothie and qb brbc. All in a tiny bottle. I'll try it on dry hair to see if that works out. Mixed the remainder of both products into one jar. Mixed in a different bottle some water and Keracare buttercream and KT. Hopefully this works well on dry hair since the water content is higher. I have four more products I haven't tried yet so in the next couple of weeks I'll be packin' up another goodie box. Lol.

Soon as the no buy is over I'ma try some Jamaican Mango&Lime products if the ingredients are good.
The more good stuff I can get locally the happier I will be.

No wonder my hair isn't down to my butt, I can't keep my hand out of my hair. I just did these twists last Sat and I want to take them out already.
