I need to find something to do with my hair. I loved twists when my hair was shorter, it was like an ear length bob when I was preggo. Now its like mid neck length unstretched and for some reason I am not liking my twists. Maybe I need to deep condition it and do some medium sized ones...idk.
That's how my hair looks now when I twist it.
I liked it when I was pregnant! But that's way shorter than now

Since deep conditioning under my hooded dryer once a week (alt moisture & protein treatments), keeping up with the LOC method and sealing with my whipped shea butter. My hair is HaPPY, especially my ends. Coming from brittle/dry ends, breakage due to color damage...to what it feels like now? My soul is jumping for JOY! Gosh I wish I would've known sooner...

My hair feels healthier when I don't stretch it so often. Does anyone else experience this? It's like it retains more moisture and breaks less.

I just don't like feeling compelled to buy a new product because what I have isn't getting the job done

I'm digging EcoStyler and Care Free Curl Gold at the moment. Those are the only two products I use at any time. But then I saw this Aloe Vera Gel tutorial (knowing good and well I don't need another product lol). I will break down and buy it anyway because I know me haha!

I ordered an oil from Afroveda on BF. Everybody else I ordered from I receiced my stuff. But I haven't got a shipping notice from them. Is that normal? Should I contact the company?

My hair has been doing well lately. I always had issues with shea butter and heaviness but going to a whipped version made a huge difference. Also after years I went back to jojoba oil for sealing and my hair has been super soft and hydrated.

I'm at the hair salon getting box braids installed. One of my coworkers is here getting a box perm, I don't miss those days at all.

I have really really called it off with coconut oil this time. A few weeks ago I prepooed with it and it was not good. I had to dc twice that week to get my softness back. I had prepooed with co before but it was mixed in Evoo. I have a few products that have co down on the ingredient list and they do okay but everything else is a wrap.

A Christmas talk with my auntie got me wondering if I should give coconut oil another try. I just threw out a year-old barely used (and starting to discolor) jar last week. I only tried it once lightly on dry hair and it wasn't bad.

Around the time I bought this oil, I also purchased vatika oil. I tried the vatika oil on dry hair (idk why...I guess I was excited and this was earlier in my journey) and it made my hair so dry. And so, figuring that vatika oil has coconut in it, I assumed it was the coconut that caused the dryness. There had to be another reason I was suspicious of the coconut, though, I just don't remember...

I know I'm protein-sensitive and that I'm low porosity in some parts...idk...maybe when I have some extra extra oh-what-the-hell $$$, I'll try coconut oil again.

And this is my random 4a thought for the day.

EDIT: just realized the post above me was about coconut oil too...lol!
