I'm really trying not to be down but now I notice some breakage on the top of my head. Probably from me trying to salvage the horribly knotting and tangling. Funny how you can spend months or years getting your hair healthy and it only takes one bad protein or dye job or press to screw all that up. Being protein sensitive sucks because I can't stop using it altogether or my hair acts like it has no strength. I have never had a problem with VO5 moisture milks as long as all other conditioner I use with it is protein free so from now on that is the only protein rinse out I will be buying. I don't think it may be the amount of Honey Hemp I used that caused my hair to react like that because before I only used a little bit where this time I slathered it on. Still not using again though.
Zinnia and iAmber like this.
Trying to figure out why my extra virgin coconut oil smells like the old school Long Boys candy. When I bought it last summer, it smelled like most oils, nothing special about it, but this last bottle that I just bought has my hair smelling like coconut stacks. 👃👀😞
Shampoo: Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine
Cowash: Curls Unleashed No Restrictions Conditioner
Deep Conditioner: Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque
Leave-In: Curls Unleashed No Boundaries
Oils: olive, argan, and Jamaican Black castor oils
In the end I guess I don't hate the SM soufflé as much as before. It does work well for me as a li when used in minute amount. I'm going to make it my only li for the rest of the summer and hopefully use it up by the time the seasons change and I can go back to my other li.
I like the olive oil ecostyler better than argon oil. The argon one isn't bad but to me gives a more texturizer look to my hair. Not my taste. Plus I have tried pure argon oil and it doesn't do as well for me as EVOO. Mu hair needs gel right now but Because I get buildup easily I'm having to cowash every other day and better to do it with a clarifying conditioner. I have been using the Suave clarifying for oily hair and I get a better clean than the VO5 without a strip to carry me through to weekly shampoo.
I swore when I used up my stash I would not buy anything else with coconut oil. But I did. I bought the AIA cowash at Sally's because I could get it for $3.99. I had used this product before when they did the sample promotion so I knew my hair doesn't love it or hate it. Good slip. I will probably use more after summer and I'm not using a gel with protein.
$3.99?! It almost makes ME want to buy it, and I've got 5 different shampoos/cleansing conditioners in my cupboards already! I feel like I never catch the good sales, even when I'm waiting.

Last Relaxer: 12/24/2012
Weekly Products I'm Using:
VO5 Silky Experiences Coconut Milk Conditioner
KCKT
Grapeseed Oil
my hair is normal-ish porosity / dense / fine+medium strands

Today I had my best hair day in a long time. It has been hellish keeping my hair moisturized and soft and healthy. Even when my hair has looked good it didn't feel like I know it should.. I decided lastnight to my version on kimmaytube leave in and what a difference. my hair was moisturzed, defined soft all day. I had not made this in awhile. I used gel today but no crunchiness. Usually I would use only the k li in my hair with a little butter in the ends.

Really thinking about getting crochet braids after watching The Chic Natural's YT video.

I'm enjoying beautiful 3rd day hair for the first time in a long time. It's big and moisturized. Lord bless kimmaytube recipe. Funny thing is this used to be all I used in my hair for a long time. Then I decided to branch out and forgot about it. Koi is back in full effect.

Now I'm starting to think about doing my cut. I really would like a better shape. the back is so much looser. makes for a shag look.
I really want crochet braids!!

She asked if she could touch my hair, and I let her. Now she thinks she can touch it all the time. She also told me to never get a weave. Yes, she is white.

I wish I had not given into anxiety's impulse and cut off 6 inches of my hair in April. Now I'm wishing I had it back.

Whoever said air drying is best didn't have freaking super thick low porosity hair. This stuff was still wet this morning because I didn't spend as long under the hooded dryer since I didn't use gel. Bad idea. Hot mess. Thank God for puffs and buns.

I want to deep condition again. And I want a new conditioner, something fancy, splurgy. But I need to sleep....

The whiteness dried so it's not too bad but it still looks like a film.

Speaking of which I ordered from Target using Paypal and pp sent me a confirmation but Target didn't.
I've placed myself on a three month protective style challenge but my hair can't seem to avoid the frizz monster. Looks like the only way I'll successfully be able to rock twists is by adding extensions but I really don't want to invest the time to do them.
