Don't know if you date outside your race but get you a white man. I have met some of the coolest white guys. Dated one but he moved away.[/QUOTE]
I'm not opposed to it, I just haven't. I've been seriously considering it. There's this white guy at my church that I've been eyeing. We flirt with each other all the time and he blushes when I talk to him. I think it's the cutest thing, but ummm, if you're interested, can you say something? I have approached men before, but for some reason can't bring myself to do it with a white man.

My boyfriend is in Dallas so I can say not ALL Dallas men are questionable. (Any other DFW members?)
And ANY woman who makes ANY kind of bias on race when looking for love is more than likely not going to find it. I tell my best friend this all the time. She's 38 and still single because she REFUSES to date anyone who isn't black (thanks to me, she's broadening her horizons but still!) To me, that's just asking to be lonely! Why limit yourself to a single race? Good men come in all shapes and colors.
As for me, I get crap from a lot of people about my boyfriend being white...and he probably gets a lot of questions about me being black from all his white friends. But people are people, not colors. To the girls reading, please don't limit yourself to ANY one race or "type." You're limiting yourself on love opportunities.

Ditto everything bolded. I have a full-time job, but also have a business. I could have so much more business, but a lot of times I just don't have the energy to keep going. I keep putting off working on my website because of projects I'm working on with clients. I have absolutely no work to do on my full-time job, and I'm working from home, so this is the ideal time for me to work on it. Not me. This was my routine today: got up at 5:30 and went to the gym, came back home, took a shower, got back in the bed and slept til 10:00. Got up and fixed breakfast, ate, and went to a dentist appointment at noon. Came back, ate lunch, put this funky henna on my head, and now I'm doing absolutely nothing. God must be so disappointed in me.

For the record, single does not equal lonely. Just because you're alone does not mean you're lonely. I do have my times when I feel lonely, but so do people who are married, engaged, or in relationships.

thanks for sharing TK. and yes! i do believe in going outside the border. and you know what?!? i have a thing for asian men. Lawd! i don't know if it was all those saturday mornings watching bruce lee with my brothers, but asian men do something to me.
glamourgirl- i totally understand. but you have to push through. i read this in a book last night:
"There's a wonderful old Italian joke about a poor man who goes to the church every day and prays before the statue of a great saint, beggin, "Dear saint- please, please, please... give me the grace to win the lottery." This lament goes on for months. Finally the exasperated statue comes to life, looks down at the begging man and says in a weary disgust, "My son- please, please please... buy a ticket."

Hahaha, that goes without saying...but in the case of my friend she IS single AND lonely. People who don't want to be single are apt to become lonely if they are still single after an extended period of time.

Idk...every now and then I'll see an Asian man that will make me want to be one of those boards lol.
I just finished dting for like 12 hours. Now it's back to bunning. My mom says good things are about to happen for me, her and Jesus are close like that so when she feels things I usually listen. She mentioned Boaz, and Lord knows I could use my own Boaz. She says that she's noticed that late summer, early fall is the reaping season. So I will have to see if she's correct. If she is, I'll be making sure to sow my crops more appropriately in the future.

LOL, I don't even know where to begin.
Atlanta......oh I have heard about the Atlanta men. I'm just going to see my cousin and have fun. She doesn't like the men there either!
To all my Dallas people.....HELLO!!! Dallas men....some of them are like the Atlanta men and the rest of them are just WEIRD! I think they want you to chase them or something. I need you to chase me too!
Dating outside the border....I did date a dominican but he was a little bit too possessive (not trying to stereotype) but it does not mean I would not date a hispanic/latin man again. In Texas you don't see that many men of other races dating black women. They don't what they are missing! HA!
Philly and Charlotte....hmm......maybe I need to change my ticket.
DC.......know I went there for a visit and I had a couple brotha's talk to me and a guy who was half asian and half hispanic or italian (can't remember). What is the scoop on DC?
To all my fellow Geminis.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

i graduated from howard, and all i have to say about DC cats is watch out. many of the ones who were actually born and raised there have a small-town mentality. it was rather disturbing. but if they're transplants...go forth and prosper...lol

Now I ain't one to gossip, but my cousin's a pharmacist there and she told me 1 in 9 got HIV. I have some male cousins that live there too and they're all insane. Good luck w/ that. California men like to be chased too.

my god you ladies are hilarious!! All this boy talk makes me really miss my best friend who is one short lil jamaican who has a thing for extremely tall white boys or so i tell her
i love all boys, never really thought about the race issue.. im pretty much 1/2 white 1/2 african american with some italian and other stuff thrown in there but i believe there is no knowing who your going to fall in love with and a persons race shouldnt matter...
i've know more black boys who are far more lovable than the white ones
man i hope my arms get really toned from this 6 hour kayaking trip tomorrow
