Really? Why not? DC seems cool when I visit, but maybe it's one of those places that are nice to visit but not to live. I always said I would love to move to the Fairfax, Virginia area, which is right there basically. But the cost of living up there is crazy!
rt: I had an intense workout with my trainer yesterday and I can barely walk today. I had good intentions of getting on my treadmill this morning, but it ain't happening. Maybe I'll get on it tonight.
Thanks to Jamaica81 for telling me to get off my lazy butt, I'm gonna be productive today.

@ jamaica81
Gurl don't say nothing about some sushi. I hung out with so many Asian people my first two semesters of undergrad that they and my black friends started calling me Black-a-nese.

Is it just me or do other people forget where in the hell they posted comments on this site? I'll ask someone a question.... and then forget all about it or to look for the reply. Rude, rude.

I don't go to Howard but I know plenty of people who do, including my girlfriend. Howard costs way too much money for everything on campus to be falling apart...the professors are slackers...and the administration has a bunch of problems too. Sorry to anyone who loves Howard..but that's what I see and hear about a lot.

Hi Amaralice! There's a red envelope icon on the left (see the main 4a page) everywhere you posted a response to a topic. I just figured that out this week. lol.
Also, I've started using the "private message" function (see upper right corner of the page) when I really want a response from someone. Some of us just forget or we're busy. C'est la vie.

I just started reading this thread. The quotes above really resonate with me. Started my own practice 1 year ago and the stress sometimes can be so much. My main goal in life now is to try to really come to grips with what makes me happy. Do I need all the material things I craved for so long? Do they make me happy? I am happy when I am on the top of a mountain that I just spent hours hiking up to, surrounded by nature. I am happy when I am in the arms of my loved one. I am happy when I realize I am healthy and strong.

So, something else to point out, quite a few women on here have their AIM listed on their profile, yet none of ladies are ever on! I'll go to talk to you and you're not there. This saddens me.

hey heathernicole... i'm here now.. you can talk to me
mozeke: lmao!
shones: thanks for admitting that. i didn't want to be the only one. i'm still learning all the features on this site.
so another random thought:
my birthday so happens to be on a major holiday that is just around the corner and every carnivore that exists comes out to celebrate this day in full effect! so whats the problem?... I'M A VEGETARIAN! well... i do eat seafood, but still. i don't want my salmon next to some steak. and i really don't care for a bbq party. but does anyone listen to the b-day girl. nope. i told my mom i want to go for japanese this year and she gave me that: "uh, oh, okay dear. i'm having my bbq party on sunday. please see if you can come to town." ahhhh!!!!!!!!!

Aw damn, homie. Idk why it wanted you to download other stuff. That's really weird, It only asks me to download AIM and that's it.
LOL. You might need to go ahead and get yourself a Japanese dude so you can have that sushi for your birthday and your unbirthdays too.

HI Ladies, I just wanted to say wussup to my fellow Bison . Great to see that HU girls are repping their natural curls.
Also, I lived in DC on and off from 1999-2007. I really miss DC too, I am actually going down there this weekend for the West Indian Carnival. But I feel yall, I do think that there is a small town mentality there. And I never like any local guys. I always dated guys who were imports like myself.
BTW, nc.com is on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Natura...89084602?ref=s

hi misskinkycoily aka fellow bison...lol...loving the new avie. your hair is soOo thick and lush...gorgeous straight and curly!
leaving condition in my hair does nothing for me except make it easier to comb.
i learned how to do a four-strand ponytail this morning.
i've been wearing PS for a little more than a month now, and i think i'll make my one inch goal by the time fall semester begins!
i LOVE looking at natural hair fotkis and photobuckets. so hairspirational.
monsoon season is great. the thunderstorms remind me of summers in georgia *sigh*smile*
