I'm about to go to happy hour. I made my bun with the little poof in the front-atleast I tried to lol. I didn't feel like doing my hair today. I think bunning is making me lazy. Other than that I look cute lol.
As much as your behind posts here, you are a 4a.

Ok I might be guilty of this...I don't do it to be rude, I just forget
rt: I am get sick and tired of the stares when I go out with my son. Yes, he looks nothing like me, yes I am black and he LOOKS totally white. But I'm getting tired of having to answer if he's my son 3 times when I go to walmart. I am tired of people showing obvious disbelief when I tell him that he's mine or suggesting that I adopted him (why the **** would I lie?). First of all, if I did adopt him, it's none of your damn business. Second, I'm tired of feeling like a side show when I go do groceries.
Ok that was more of a rant than a random thought lol
rt: I'm excited that I will be going back to work soon. I hope my skills aren't rusty after a year and a half.

My older cousin's son is biracial, but he has blonde hair and blue eyes (he used to look like the gerber baby when he was small). Anyways, this happens to her all the time. It ticks her off too. It amazes me how people think genetics are like matching colors in the crayon box. They think oh a brown girl and a white guy= light brown. Silly people
RT: I think I'm done drinking. I didn't get sick like throwing up, but the last few times I've been sick at my stomach the next day. So, I think I'm calling it quits. No big loss, I don't drink much anyway.

The hair in the middle of my head is totally broken off. My ends are split above and beyond the call of duty.
Why? Because my (now former) stylist felt it was ok to blow dry, press AND flat iron my hair. Yeah no.
My **** is beat. I'm so hurt. I combed my hair out because I didn't want to be bald, and now I'm going to be just that.
I want to cry but what purpose would it serve?

I'm really sorry TL3M. What do you think about cutting it short and starting over? Look at all these fierce women on the board with short and sassy curls. You could do it too and then it would all be healthy as it grows out.
RT: This man on tv is saying he's really really happy, and I'd like to be able to say that too one day soon.
RT: I'm going home this week for the 4th. I haven't been home during that time for the last 4 years.
RT: I'm thinking of trying a product that has cones.

I am so sorry! The more I read about stylists on these boards, the more I want to avoid one. That is terrible what she (or he) did to your beautiful hair. I agree with HeatherNicole, I am sure you would look great with a short cut if you decided to cut the damage.

@HN-that is probably what I will have to do. *le sigh*
@Kithaena-I am going back to my old stylist on Tuesday and I know she will fix the mess. Its just the cutting that is going to break my heart. My forehead is huge.

calling all big foreheads!
Mine is too. I think of it as regal... statuesque... indicative of the size of my creativity... stately...
come up with some of your own adjectives for "big foreheads." it's fun!

Hi Mozeke,
It's not bad necessarily but it is stubborn...ask yourself is it really worth it?
If I can get through grad school anyone can . You had the brains and the grades to get in so that's a a vote for your future success right there!
Good luck!

bargain shopping
rt1: i live with a crackhead. not a real bonafide one, just a person who says and does some stupid, crazy stuff all the time. i constantly want to ask her "how does that sound? did you just hear yourself?" *sigh*
rt2: i found some goody "no burn" magnetic roller clips in fry's on clearance for $0.35 per 8 pack.
rt3: on that note, why is it that goody makes hair products/accessories that i never knew i needed until i saw them? lol

Shones that would work until I passed a mirror, reflective glass or a mean person. I'm just going to have to deal. I did enjoy being able to cover it for a couplefew months though.
rt: I heart HU and all the friends I made there. This was great.

I love looking at all of your fotki pictures. I would love to post some of my own but... (and this will sound silly) but my hair doesn't look as pretty as all of yours (yes, I know it's not a contest) but seeing all of the lovely hair around here kind of discourages me from posting any pictures.

I sorta felt like this at first... kind of hard to explain, but I felt like my hair was supposed to look like the pictures I always saw on fotkis. But now I know I just don't have that kind of hair. It's just mine and I'm growing more and more in love with it everyday.
It's bushy, it's curly, and it's mine. There will always been room for improvement, but for now I am proud of it and always will be.
rt: What ever happen to an actual 10 minute oil change instead of "we'll try, ma'am"
rt: I'm ready to go back to work as soon as a spot opens up at my old job. I can't wait!!
rt: I really want my hair in the front to cover my forehead a little bit...dare I call it bangs?
rt: HeatherNicole looks a lot like my cousin except I know that she (my cousin) would chop off her left arm off before she would stop relaxing her hair lol.
