Random thought number 5 million, fifty-leven:

Okay,

The guy that I told you all about whose number my friend wanted to get, hasn't called or responded to a text I sent 2 days ago. The last text he sent me said that he had a blast with me and my friends and to let him know If I come back you to NY in the future. That's it.

My response text was asking if he wanted to communicate outside of just seeing each other when I go to NY. He wrote nothing back.

Arghhhhhh! What happened? Things were going so well.

I made allowances for him, considering that he had 2 kids and all (I am not really into dudes with kids, but it is not a major problem). Maybe I was making too much of our interaction. I would love to talk to him again. Should I wait or forget about it?

Help me!!!!!

Move on. If he calls/texts then he does. If not, don't call/text him. If he said let him know if you come back, to me it sounds like he's not really interested in keeping in touch long distance, but if you come back then he's cool with hanging out again.

Default Did You Know...

...squirrels eat tomatoes?

So I came home yesterday and loving checked on my fast-growing pot tomato plant... and lo and behold it's crumpled up quite pathetically on my deck. what in the world... so next day (today) my husband sees this squirrel running very slowly across our deck with my first (and only) green tomato in it's little rodent mouth.

I had no idea that squirrels eat tomatoes.

Oh Gosh! I so get it now. My feelings are hurt, but what can I do? A dude did that to a friend of mine a few months ago. He actually hung out with her, went to dinner, etc, then he promised to go to breakfast the next day and he bailed out. She even called and texted him to say hi some time, and he never returned her call. He sent her a what's up text like 2 months later. Guys are so funny! I am done with this. At least I had fun!

Yes...they do... squirrels will eat just about anything.

Put some of your hair in the pot to keep them away...worked for me. I anchored the hair with those two prong hair pins and toothpicks.

My friggin KCCC came in the mail and the jar is open and 1/3 of my product is gone. I'm still really upset w/ the Empress Beauty Supply man for not telling me he was closing the shop. I hate ordering stuff through the mail. I'm gonna write to the KCCC lady and let her know about my missing KCCC. $35 is too much to pay for 1/3 less of my product and having to wait for shipping.

I really like Seattle. Unfortunately the salon there was out of KCCC.

I'm so offended that the Williams sisters are being referred to on this chiron as "venus" and "serena"...

What ever happened to first initial last name? this is some disrespectful you know what. This country and its ingrained disrespect of black people in general really really bothers me.

^ I'm wondering if they mean it in an iconic way...as Janet Jackson is Janet and Elvis Presley is just Elvis, etc. You think?

One of my cousins brought me to the brink of Bridezilla-ism, lol. I won't go into detail, but it felt good telling his parents how I feel about their son. I never cursed (and I have a potty mouth) and I didn't raise my voice, I just very politely put all of them in their place It felt good.

Tomorrow will be my last day at my job. HALLELUJERRRR!!!!!! I haven't been unemployed in over three years (which is something big for me, I've been making my own money since I was 12). I'm a little scared about not having a consistent paycheck coming in, but I'm sure I'll get another job when I start school in August, right?

not at all. maybe I'm just oversensitive, but I notice that they NEVER get a last name, meanwhile the biggest names in tennis do.

its never just "Roger" its always "Federer". Its never just
"Rafa" its always "Nadal". Same on the women's side with the bigger names. I get it, they have the same last name, but its just so blatantly disrespectful. I hope they didn't just write "Venus" on the damn trophy. ok I'm done ranting as if it doesn't happen EVERY time they play. it unnerves me...
