Default Jessicurl WDT vs. Shea Butter Shea Moisture Leave In

After reading some of the threads I have a itch to buy soemthing new or jsut something!! I used SBSM this weekend with KCCC and PM the Conditioner (this is after a calcium bentonite treatment and a DT) and got beatuiful hari for 3 days and it stayed soft and moisturized. How does Jessicurl WDT compare to SMSB Leave in as a leave in styler?? I can get SMSB on the ground and I hate it when I find something I like and can only get it on line. Also, has any one tried the Deva Care One C with the SMSB leave in? I am going to try the DevaCare One C, I gotta get something and I have a Ulta near by. I did see the DevaCare One C on Amazon.com 2 bottle for $29 and free shipping.....

The SM is definitely a nice leave-in -- if you can get it out of the bottle. That's my problem, that and it takes a while to absorb into hair.I also use a lot. I'm loving the Jessicurl WDT. I layered Mop Top conditioner (2-3 tsps), Jane Carter Nourish and Shine (1/8 tsp), them WDT (fingertipful) and my hair feels and looks wonderful. I'm on day 2 now.

Two different products as far as consistencies go. SheaMoisture is thick, pasty-like. The WDT is creamy right out of the jar. The good thing about SheaMoisture is that it's versatile. You can cut it with AVG, oils, and other leave-ins. I used to be able to use SheaMoisture straight out of the bottle, but then it started to be work so I don't use it anymore. I got the best results when used with JC WDT.

Consistency wise, both are different and the purposes of both are different as well. The Jessicurl is a DT, and meant to rinse out, although some curlies here use it as a leave in. I tried using it as both, and my hair didn't care much for it. Wasn't thick enough, and in comparison to Elucence, didn't hold up. It did give me some definition(shrinkage). SMSB leave in is thicker, and does leave the hair moisurized, but it felt producty to me(even when using a minimal amount). I was left with more frizz too.

I would tweak it by using various combos to no avail. I like keeping it simple, and if I have to use 2-3 other products just to make something work better, it's just not worth it to me.

Not sure I helped. LOL! Glad the SMSB leave in is working well for you.

I've never used the jessiecurl product, but i LOVE LOVE LOVE Shea moisture! i usually cut my shea moisture with some oil and distilled water to make it more lotiony in texture so that it absorbs better.
